Kevin VanHook to write Oracle mini for DC
As well as another yet-to-be-named mini.
"Oracle" will is a tie-in to the Battle For the Cowl event in '09 and Issue #1 hits the stands in March.
Check it out here.

BOP and Nightwing have amassed almost 300 issues together and i have to say they have always been solid.
I have always rated them both higher than most Bat & Detective runs since they both started.
Chuck Dixon will be missed now it looks he wont be back at all.
His eralier issues were the bollox and Robin was better than the two core titles whilst he was writing it.
Lets hope the new Oracle series keeps with the character that DC have lovingly grown and somehow managed to build on correctly over the last 15 years.

I trade as Dead Universe Comics in the UK, which is no surprise to those who know of my legendary Dead Universe habit.

Picked up Oracle #1 and really enjoyed it. The dashes of humor, but big ol' heaping doses of why I like his work so much: determined protagonists who aren't heroes because they're unflagging in their crusades, but because they're able to overcome their doubts and prevail. Add in a dose of redemption/atonement and he had me at hello.
I didn't know about DC's Wendy and Marvin, but it's good to see that even a villain like Calculator, can have some emotional moments.
I haven't purchased a Babs tale since the Dixon-penned, Nightwing-starring issue of BoP. I thought KV did a great job bringing me up to speed with who the character is and what drives her. I'm along for the ride and, hopefully, for the collected edition.
Nice job, as usual, Mr. VanHook.

RE: Covers and comments
Thanks guys-- Yeah, Guillem's covers rock. I'd love to see him do a whole book.
