You should mention that in your auction; minus the f$cked up world referencejedimarley wrote:Funny. I have mine up for sale with a 100% going towards charity and a 100% match on my behalf and I have no serious bids.
VK puts all his site projects up for sale and pockets the profit and makes a killing.
It's a f@cked up world.

Good thing you told him to not include that part. He might have.

I trade as Dead Universe Comics in the UK, which is no surprise to those who know of my legendary Dead Universe habit.

THAT is a VERY limited book. I only made 21 of those books and most were handed out at the first SDCC meeting to all boardmembers who were in attendance and a couple to strangers.jedimarley wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/Bloodshot-26-Fighti ... dZViewItem
I 'am' shocked at the low selling price on all... especially the Rai series, lots of work went into that one by quite a few people !!!

Thanks Elveen... I am at least glad that they initially served their purpose the first time around.Elveen wrote:Elveen wrote:Chuck wrote:No mention of CF
That sucks!
I didn't really interact much with VK, a few times...... but selling a CF book, with Alyssa's hand print on it, with out at least mentioning CF.
He is not VK to me, now he is VD.
You know a while ago I was VERY against ever selling board project for profit, especially CF books.
But my fam's financial situation has changed. I can see how being a tough $$$ situation changes things. I mean, if you are in a jam and you have something that can get you a few hundred very quickly, and maybe a few somethings, I hate to say it, but I can see it.
But a book that was done for charity. A book that was sold to help cure a terrible disease. A book that was put together (with a lot of help) by a man that watches his little girl put on a vest that bangs against her chest to loose the mucus and junk in her body everyday. and then to go and sell that book without a mention of it's purpose and why it was done.
Selling it for profit is one thing. Listen VD is no longer part of our community, so he has no allegiance, I get that. But the CF books are BIGGER than our community. They reach past our small corner on the internet.
the CF books are not: svair's harby #1 project book, or BTE's SDCC books, or Della's SM and EW books, or any other great projects that have been done for the boards. The CF books were/are done so a cure can be found for a terrible disease. To sell a CF book for profit, without even even giving words to CF and the fight against it.
He could have just mentioned CF, but he did not.
To me it is indefensible.
This makes me mad.
Lame.

I agree the low price was a surprise. I find it easier to bid on the "Fighting" books, because they do not feel as attached to the original sale as the others. And I needed oneKnightt wrote:THAT is a VERY limited book.
