I know it is early. It's not even next year yet.

I'm not even sure if I will make it out there, but it's been over a year since I've been in New York, and I want to go back.

I've heard this convention is great too.

It seems like Jet Blue is having a sale, and there are some decent deals on Hotels.com, so it seems like now is the time for me to make plans if this is gonna happen.

So, who is going?

I am going, staying at the Gem hotel instead of the Penn this time, thought I'd try something a little different.

This is one of the places I was looking at, do you know what this place is like, and how nice it is?

I have really no idea, the price was right and it is closer to the Javitz than the Penn where we usually stay, I figured it's gonna be Feb and cold, so it would be ok to be closer. They have free internet and flatscreens in the rooms so I figured "why not?"

I just found out that I am gonna make enough extra money from some part time work I am doing this month to pay for my flight and hotel, so it looks like I'll be booking to go to this show soon.

Buy your weekend pass for the show as soon as you can cause they usually sell out a few weeks or more and sometimes Saturdays sell out and you can only get Friday and Sunday.

Good advice. I ran into this problem at San Diego this year, and had to buy 4 individual day passes. It cost almost twice the amount of a 4-day pass.

Was this from this year? When I saw him in 2006, he was wearing white "casual" clothes and a big white cowboy-style hat.

It's official. I'll be there. I just booked a flight and a hotel. I'll be catching a redeye Wednesday night, arriving Thursday morning. I'm taking off Sunday evening.

I'll be staying at the Gem hotel, a block or so from the convention center.

No idea when it was taken. I "borrowed" it from the Diamond Comics web site.

He runs the show. Now I know most comic show goers are out of there mind in their own personel way, but I'm pretty sure this guys off the end.

When I walked in the door of the comic con, he yelled. "Hey Mikey!" like a long last friend. I'm pretty sure that was the first time I met him and was creeped out he knew my name.

I think creepy is the right way to describe him. I can think of other ways but they are not appropriate for a public forum.
