Also - Comico. We are both 1 for 1.
I can admit when I am wrong. I am not a woman.

I *could* mention that the first person to keep score on anything was *you*....but I won't.

It's good to know we both are capable of admitting when we're wrong. Personally, I don't give a *SQUEE* either way. It's just not that big a deal.

Yeah, definitely the best podcast yet. Yay.
Beautiful stuff that none of us knew (and, in fact, very few people outside of the core group at Valiant in the early days knew, either.)
Absolutely smashing, and a total pleasure.
I dunno if Dr. Solar's gonna reveal what/who the podcast was about, but it's a goodie (besides, I already oopsed it last night...
)
And there are other clues on the site....

Episode 18 is up now!
A Conversation With JayJay Jackson, Part 1
JayJay Jackson joins us in this episode for a fantastic discussion! JayJay is most known to fans for her coloring work, but she has done many different jobs in her 15 years of working in the comic book industry. She was part of the Valiant team in the early days, and shares a number of thoughts, recollections, and feelings about the work she has done over the years.
Our conversation went so long, and included so much great stuff, I am splitting it up into two parts. The next part will be released the next weekend.
Also, because of technical difficulties due to travel for the holidays, this episode is not yet listed at the OnlyTheValiant.com website. It will be by Sunday night. Those of you that have not yet subscribed to the show with your favorite podcast aggregator (shame on you!) can get the episode by right click/save as on the following link:
OTV-Episode018.mp3
I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed talking with JayJay, she was a delight to have on the show! Come back in a week for part 2.

This interview is amazing.
Without giving too much away - it pretty much is just her answering one question and we keep going off on tangents. She covers a never-before mentioned Valiant crossover that was planned and never happened, how Shooter dragged a reluctant Marvel to the forefront not only of comic books publishing but of printing and the most brutally honest synopsis of Shooter's ousting of Valiant I've ever heard or read (including some details I've never heard before).
I didn't speak much just because I was too wrapped up in listening to what she had to say. It was all so fascinating, especially Shooter's collaboration with a childrens book publisher.

I listened to the first 40 min. or so.
I really liked it.
First I think that you dudes had a perfect balance of questions, listening, and "ohhhs and awwws".
Very, very interesting, and I did not even get to any of the Valiant stuff.
Very cool to hear about the children's book publisher.

The site seems to be up now. It may have just been a temporary hosting thing. Something may be funky, I pulled up the site, and had to refresh once before I got to it.
The direct link I posted will work because the actual podcast files are hosted by libsyn, not on the OTV website. The direct link is a link to the file on the OTV libsyn account.
Of course, if you subscribe to the show, you don't have to worry about any of this

You wanna know the "technical difficulties"? It is really unintersting and has to do with the login function of drupal websites.Cyberstrike wrote:What's that?Dr. Solar wrote:Also, because of technical difficulties due to travel for the holidays, this episode is not yet listed at the OnlyTheValiant.com website. I just figured out what that "some reason" was and corrected it. You can now download the episode from the site at http://onlythevaliant.com/episodes/18dellamorte wrote:For some reason I can't download this one. I keep getting an error that the source could not be found.
Many apologies. This was a trivial mistake on my part.
