it is incredibly brutal how they turned Gilad into a superpowered Punisher and the writing is bad (and the editing is worse...so many spelling errors) but the substory of Fenris and their attempts to bring down the world economy by destabalizing the world banks is...disturbing poignant.

Completely off topic but I have been wanting to discuss this also, I re-read what I have of Unity a month back or so (missing some of the later chapters) but I find the way Erica Pierce created her society and the structure of her group before they journeyed to the lost land sounds quite alot like Scientology (from the little I have heard of it). I wonder if Shooter was trying to make an analogy there.
What we need is innovation and even revolution—but not so much in the form of marketing ploys and doohickeys. What is needed is bold creative vision, excellent stories, and brilliant storytelling, in a word, entertainment. -- Jim Shooter

Ol' L. Ron has been pushing "Dianetics" since the 70's... it's a distinct possibility!

*tries to remember to ask Shooter that if he ever meets him*

Wait, I am Jim Shooter!!!

I doubt if that was Jim's intention, but I suppose only he can answer that for sure.

Whether or not it was based on Scientology epscifically, it seems like it was rather cult-like.

From what I understand, there are a lot of similarities amongst cults.

Heh - I love how TC didn't really know what "glib" meant in that Matt Lauer interview. He mis-used it, IMO.

I actually enjoyed EW pretty much all the way through to the end. I though Migdalia was great, and loved the relationship he had with the detective. I thought the way the character was "reconceived" following the Chaos Effect worked, within the logic of the character.

With acting experience as a samurai and a spy, he would be the perfect Ninjak!

I noticed that in the commercials for his upcoming "Valkyrie," TC doesn't even bother with a German accent...

I've heard he wants to be Tao from Sleeper, which if you've read Sleeper it makes perfect sense.

OK, I can agree with that. TC would be almost perfect as Tao! Not tall, slight, kinda effeminate... and delusions of grandeur!!!
