Hint for the future - don't tell people what you paid for your great bargains.MoonChild wrote:No, it was quite immediate and the only thing I did was attempt to keep it off of ebay and keep it in the fam. I even sold it for a hundred less that what it last went for at auction, it was like being kicked for showin sum love!

You don't have to agree with the logic. The point is very clear, whether you "agree" with it or not: when you talk about a screaming deal, and then nearly instantly offer it up for "the going rate" which is many, many times what you paid for it, people are going to resent you.MoonChild wrote:I still don't agree wit that logic but Point taken
It does not matter whether you think that's "fair" or not: it's a FACT OF LIFE.
You can either A. tell everyone what a smokin' deal you got, and leave it at that (in which case, most of the folks on this board will be happy for you, myself included)....or B. don't say a word about what you paid, and sell it for the going rate. In either of those scenarios, people aren't going to react to you in a resentful, negative manner for the most part.
It's when you do both that there's a problem.
You can ignore what I say, you can disagree with what I say all you want....but that will never change the truth of it.

Yea, it's a sad fact of life, I got it. And I thank God that is not how my mind was designed. A Golden Nugget is a golden nugget no matter who's it is or how they got it in my world, no matter how you slice it
[And actually it was a hundred less than the going rate]

Yeah I was. Its nothing personal but I thought it was tacky how you bragged about getting such a great deal and solicited offers. Not saying it was wrong just that it rubbed me the wrong way.MoonChild wrote:He didnt buy it from me, or were you talking to me? Looks like I am going to have to request a partial refund.Chiclo wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0320397825
I sent the guy a question asking for the cover price on the Visitor Vs. Valiant Universe. He said it was $2.50. He didn't say if it was both that had that cover price. The low bid when I left this morning was $0.49, that would have been quite a pickup.
So now I play the waiting game...

$0.99 for both (+$4.80 S&H) . . . I will take them! Seller said he won a prize package from Wizard and these were included.

I sent a very nice message earlier today. I didn't mention negative feedback - but I will next time.slym2none wrote:Uh-oh... good luck.....Chiclo wrote:Looks like I am going to have to request a partial refund.Chiclo wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0320397825

Basically I asked either for a refund of half the purchase price of the lot (not including shipping) or a full refund of cost, shipping and return shipping and I'll send the books back. Haven't heard back yet today, but I am starting off very reasonable.
Also helps that sellers can't neg back and he's already left positive feedback.
