Speaking of, I'm currently living in Memphis and in trying to discover new avenues for obtaining comics, I came across this site:
http://epguides.com/comics/
Has anyone been to these small Mid-West or Mid-South shows? If so, what's the selection like?
I may attempt to hit the Little Rock one on December 6th. I figure the worst that happens is that I waste the time and gas driving and the $3 to get in and come away with nothing good.
But I would like to hear from others that attend the more 'podunk' shows first and get me some advice!

I know the guy who has set up that web site/runs SOME of the shows listed there. He's a pretty nice guy, although he'll talk your ear off. He usually brings a huge selection of bargain books to whatever shows he does. I used to go to the Milwaukee, Madison and Gurnee, IL shows. None of them are big shows, but I usually found something good to buy.turborip wrote:Speaking of, I'm currently living in Memphis and in trying to discover new avenues for obtaining comics, I came across this site:

well, first night down. Only was open from 6-10. Sold about 60.00 worth.
Tomorrow is a 12-12 day. Everyone says we will be busy and do well
tomorrow. Kane Hodder is huge as hell. Looks like he was recently burned under his neck as the scars look new.
Elvira brought the house down when she was announced and had long *SQUEE* lines. The *SQUEE* are till up high. Hail two sided tape.
I may break out the sales fliers early tomorrow if its looking slow. Everyone stopped by to look at the GSXMEN 1, XMEN 94 and some other books I have out.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

found out today that they didnt advertise this for having comics. There was us and one other guy that did drawings. No other dealers to trade with etc. There was 25+ tattoo artist, 5 jewelry sellers, 1 tattoo supply seller, 10 or so motorcycle sellers and us. Talk about being out of your element.
The good thing is in 5 weeks or so we have our quarterly convention that Hobo and I usually attend. Maybe I can end the year with a bang.

It did say comic books on the one flyer you posted, but from the look of the two fliers, I didn't think this was a show that was aimed at comic book collectors.sd2416 wrote:found out today that they didnt advertise this for having comics.
