Geez, so many Joe fans here. Any of ya here rooting for Transformers? If you were fond of the 80's cartoon series, you should check out Takara's current Masterpiece line.

I used to have a huge collection of Vintage Macross figures back a few years ago. I sold a majority of it before prices crashed hard on ebay due to Yamato and Bandai flooding the market with new valkyries. I remember back then the Bandai 1/55 Elintseekers and SuperOstriches were shooting for over a grand each! As of right now, I'm happy with the new Yamato valkyries especially the 1/48 scale line.Jay Tomio wrote:
I dig transformers to, but unlike Robotech/MAcross I don't the non-vintage toys (the new robotech stuff is awesome IMHO). The only non-vintage toy I have is the Sunstorm exclusive becuase I do focus on the Seekers.
I root for Transformers only because I want it to succeed and start an 80's cartoon revival so all these MIB JOE's I'm sitting on become a goldmine.

The key is to have the original antenna. I don't think you will get $100 unless it's still in the factory bag (which is in a vehicles drivers case - kind of like moc) - around $35-$45 seems likely if it's drop dead mint however loose and complete.'ve got a WORMS that I should probably have graded then.... Wink

Yeah most of the folks at Robotech's forum are arrogant. The forum I used to frequent alot and was also a forum moderator at one point is Macrossworld.com's forum. They're usually more knowledgable and keep the latest updates on new Macross stuff. Graham, the administrator of the board, has direct personal connection with Yamato. I'm actually looking forward in getting the new 1/60 YF-19 with FastPacks from Macross Plus.Jay Tomio wrote:When it coems to Robotech/Macross I'm not too current in that I follow everything that comes out at anywhere near a timely manner (one reason is that I think at the official site 75% of the members are either consistently idiotic or just simply act their age)
The Milia Fallyna Jenius’s VF-1J Super Valkyrie (1/48 - with the Yamato Superparts) is the last one I bought and I love it.

Can you insert a picture of what you mean by original antenna? Do you mean the one that is molded onto the helmet or something else that I'll have to dig out of a box? Pics, yo!!!Jay Tomio wrote: The key is to have the original antenna. I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I remember last year there were these little display stands for GI Joe figures solicited. They didn't include the figure, but each stand was targeted to specific figures. Each one had a stand and dog tags and then there were additional accessories for each figure. I think they even included a reproduction of the original file card.
Anybody know what I'm talking about or what happened to them? Did they ever ship? They looked pretty cool and I wanted a set but I haven't seen anything else about them.

After some digging, I found a couple web sites that still have some info on them. But it seems they've been cancelled. Which I think is too bad because I thought it was a pretty cool idea. I was looking forward to getting them.Jay Tomio wrote:Regarding the display stands you mention - I have never heard of them, but they sound damn cool!

I have to get one of those!
Never mind, I was thinking of the female member of Cobra-La who I thought was named Vypra (and maybe she is). Judging by the filecard, that's not her.
PS-Does that mean no 25th anniversary figs for you? They are 4". But the CC looks SWEET.

I was going to say, there plentiful here, i would of picked them up for uJohnnyRnR wrote:Got the Target exclusives Ultra Magnus/Skywarp two pack today. I heart Transformers Classics.
Im selling my Trans collection as we speak, spent way to much on them, but im returning a great profit, what you see now is lame, wait till next week, and the one after that, not trying to kill myself all at once

MP-03 and 04 are pretty far from lame, as is Japanese Primus. Could use Megalo Convoy and Omega Sentinel too, but I've spent too much on ebay lately, and I'm trying to save money for some trips this summer, so I'll hold out for rare and cool. Any upcoming convention/store/Japanese exclusives to want to warn me about? (or sell directly, or hold them for a while?) My current priorities in TFdom are Slog, complete, with cardback, Greasepit's Micromaster, some Scorponok parts, Ratbat complete (I have one gold gun) with either tech spec or preferably full cardback, and various convention and Japanese exclusives (particularly the stupid DVD exclusives, Metrotitan, Battle Gaea, and two of the two packs around Battle Gaea). I'm also trying to finish off my run of RID/Machine Wars/and Beast Machines Decepticons, since they are all small runs and I'm trying to at least be able to quit looking for something.speedracex wrote:what you see now is lame,

Also, there were plenty of 2 packs this trip, but it was my fourth time looking for them.

next auction ill be putting up a ratbat with gold weapons, complete scorponok with box, no exclusives, though i used to have them, in my first trans collection, this is my 4th actually, and my last, i need to let go, collecting trans is usually shelling out 100 a pop, i will be putting up omega, metroplex and scorponok all mib, and possibly my bone white fort max, being i just sold a loose one last week for a crazy 740, i coudlnt believe it, guy hasnt paid, supposendly this weekend, i also have what i guess is the prize of my collection, a japanese original optimus prime in box, its beautiful, i dont plan on selling it, and if i do, im going to put a crazy reserve on it, anyone want to see a pic??JohnnyRnR wrote:MP-03 and 04 are pretty far from lame, as is Japanese Primus. actually here the link, still live when I won him, I would never sell him for the price I won him for either, in my opinion it was a steal, I havent seen one before this on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0066182370
one of the most interesting things about him is how roller ejects, the eject button is twice as long as the US version, also roller doesnt have the clips to hold him into the eject mechanism, he just rests against it, and the eject mechanism is twice as long, it was really shocked

I was actually watching both that Prime that you won, and your Fort Max. I'm holding out till I want to plunk down for a Japanese FM though. (although lately, it seems to go for less than a boxed US one?!) Don't suppose you have any desire to sell your Metroplex, Omega or Scorpy boxes separately from the figures? I know what you mean about needing to get out, it's tough. I've cut seriously down, as much for the space as for finances. I live in NY right now, so comics/cards/dvds/video games take up much less space than robots. Even sexy robots. So for the time being, I'm focusing on Deceptions, I figure that cuts it down to 40ish% (except for classics, that line is small and awesome enough that I gave in and have most of them). And I buy even Decepticons far less often than I used to.

To have a room full of robots, there is nothing like it, i love comics like the next guy, but to see all that mecha standing off on shelves is just a beautiful thing, especially imported stuffJohnnyRnR wrote:I was actually watching both that Prime that you won, and your Fort Max.
