Jay Tomio wrote:I'd rather have a sealed WORMS than a AFA graded one personally. If I'm not mistaken (I could be as AFA's website sucks), it could only be given a AFA loose grade anyway- it's not a carded figure.

This is a figure that out of bag and complete (with pain in the *SQUEE* antenna) I see routinely see go for around $40
If ther box is sealed...AFA can grade vehicles as well no problem.

But if you;re seieng ungraded WORMS go for over $100...man, thats just way too much. They seem to be holding their value pretty well these Joes...slowly but surely going up every year for high grade ones :hm:

By sealed, do you mean in a bag, or on a very small blister card that was sometimes used for drivers (if I remember correctly)?

I'm looking for a few of these. Or drop dead mint (complete) loose figures from a reputable source.
No YOU don't get it...you just want Maggot-LITE! :!:

Derailing away from the GI Joe derail; can anyone find me a Target exclusive Skywarp/Ultra Magnus 2 pack? I'd kind of like two, I think I want to keep a sealed one, at least for a while. So I'm looking for one in minty box, and one where it doesn't matter. Hoping to pay cost + shipping? Also, anyone planning on going to Botcon? More importantly, planning on going but not wanting to buy overpriced exclusives? Most importantly, wanting to buy exclusives anyway to sell to me?

I guess it could be called that - I have a very geek idea. When you are retired, you have to come up with dumb *SQUEE* to fill the time. Especially if you quit smoking like I did last last year (or the year before).
The plot thickens...you're retired? :hm:

Geez, so many Joe fans here. Any of ya here rooting for Transformers? If you were fond of the 80's cartoon series, you should check out Takara's current Masterpiece line.

Optimus Prime

Megatron

http://cgi.ebay.com/TAKARA-MASTERPIECE- ... dZViewItem

Starscream

They are fully transformable and look practically exactly like their cartoon counterparts. You never thought Megatron can look this good as a toy. Check them links out.

I've got a WORMS that I should probably have graded then.... ;)

Those Transformers in the link are incredible. I don't know what else to say about those other than that....

I dig transformers to, but unlike Robotech/MAcross I don't the non-vintage toys (the new robotech stuff is awesome IMHO). The only non-vintage toy I have is the Sunstorm exclusive becuase I do focus on the Seekers.

I root for Transformers only because I want it to succeed and start an 80's cartoon revival so all these MIB JOE's I'm sitting on become a goldmine.

...and Jazz kicks *SQUEE*.

The key is to have the original antenna. I don't think you will get $100 unless it's still in the factory bag (which is in a vehicles drivers case - kind of like moc) - around $35-$45 seems likely if it's drop dead mint however loose and complete.
I used to have a huge collection of Vintage Macross figures back a few years ago. I sold a majority of it before prices crashed hard on ebay due to Yamato and Bandai flooding the market with new valkyries. I remember back then the Bandai 1/55 Elintseekers and SuperOstriches were shooting for over a grand each! As of right now, I'm happy with the new Yamato valkyries especially the 1/48 scale line. :thumb:

The Milia Fallyna Jenius’s VF-1J Super Valkyrie (1/48 - with the Yamato Superparts) is the last one I bought and I love it.
Yeah most of the folks at Robotech's forum are arrogant. The forum I used to frequent alot and was also a forum moderator at one point is Macrossworld.com's forum. They're usually more knowledgable and keep the latest updates on new Macross stuff. Graham, the administrator of the board, has direct personal connection with Yamato. I'm actually looking forward in getting the new 1/60 YF-19 with FastPacks from Macross Plus. :thumb:

Can you insert a picture of what you mean by original antenna? Do you mean the one that is molded onto the helmet or something else that I'll have to dig out of a box? Pics, yo!!!

I remember last year there were these little display stands for GI Joe figures solicited. They didn't include the figure, but each stand was targeted to specific figures. Each one had a stand and dog tags and then there were additional accessories for each figure. I think they even included a reproduction of the original file card.

Anybody know what I'm talking about or what happened to them? Did they ever ship? They looked pretty cool and I wanted a set but I haven't seen anything else about them.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
