I'll second that - ComicKings seems to be an OK guy.Brother J wrote:I personally think it was on the up and up, Joey's not a bad guy, even though he has got into it with a few people here.Elveen wrote: Maybe it was not lucky?

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

He IS a good guy.
From what I hear he has some pretty sweet bargain boxes.
I still have the case of Zoom Suit #1 I bought from him to get all the variants...

I've not been to his store. He's in Virginia Beach which is 3 or so hours from here.Brother J wrote:You probably have been to his store, huh?tssgery wrote:I've bought from Joey numerous times.slym2none wrote:I'll second that - ComicKings seems to be an OK guy.Brother J wrote:I personally think it was on the up and up, Joey's not a bad guy, even though he has got into it with a few people here.Elveen wrote: Maybe it was not lucky?

Yeah, he did have quite a blowup with a bunch of people in the last thread he posted in, enough that he asked Greg to inactivate his account. Not surprisingly, it was another one of the threads about selling board projects. He was mainly here as a comic dealer, so I guess his priority wasn't making friends.Draco wrote:Its hard to give an opinion of certain people when you have had no interaction with them, but am i mistaken in thinking that comic Kings had a massive rant here recently slating the people here as morons or am i getting him confused with someone else?
cheers
On a good note, he helped out in EVERY project that I have asked assistance for. Backer boards to mylites.... they all came from him and for FREE. He would just donate them.
I knew him to be a dealer and took it at that... we always got along. He might still be a member today if the prodding that he took had not been as fierce... and all over selling these books.
I see folks selling something even more trivial such as the penguins and there is not as much fire.
Him and I always got along, I wish he was still here (but then I wish some others gone... they way of the message board, I guess).

So all is not as seems then methinks.
Im sure when i read the thread it was pointless nonsense, but he did say some pretty harsh stuff and kind of implied some quite rude generalisms, or am i thinking of another thread.
Either way i guess its easy to get carried away in an argument, especially if you are being bated, so ill hold judgement on this as im not really privvy to what the real score is.

Same here. I always had good dealings with him. He even sent me a free shirt. Of course it is advertising for his story, but still a very cool Hulk T-Shirt.tssgery wrote:Yeah. Me too.
