Anyone read Identity Crisis? Is it worth picking up the back issues, or should I just wait for the trade paperback?

Re: Identity Crisis
I read it & thought it was OK. It's more like a murder mystery. I would'mt run down to the LCS & buy it RIGHT NOW, but if you see it for a good price it might be worth a read.djm928 wrote:Anyone read Identity Crisis? actually i liked it a lot...but it's the sort of thing that i'd rather have in tpb form...i'm actually selling a set on ebay right now...
i'm curious as to what they go for, maybe the sale price on those can help you decide if you want to try to get the issues of the trade...

Re: Identity Crisis
Each issue is $3.95 (7 issues); total cost would be $27.65. If you don't care to collect the issues, I would get the TPB if it is cheaper than $27.65.djm928 wrote:Anyone read Identity Crisis? Is it worth picking up the back issues, or should I just wait for the trade paperback?
Then ebay has a bunch of complete runs for sale; here's one:

It is a good read.

Glad to hear some opinions, I wanted to check around because I know that a lot of the "big events" are majorly overhyped with little, if any consequences to the real "universe". But, if it's a good read
, I may try to pick it up some time depending on how much sets or the trade are going for. Any more opinions are welcome and appreciated.

Wow not a bad deal. That's almost what Mile High wants just for the first issue.400yrs wrote:My LCS has complete sets for 12.95. They must've over ordered big time.

It is. I think each print has a different cover. The #1 has the cover original cover. Did they print that cover twice? I'm gonna check it out this week regardless.lobo wrote:That sounds too good to be true... maybe the #1 is NOT a first print?400yrs wrote:My LCS has complete sets for 12.95. For Issue #1lobo wrote:If it is original cover the it should be a first print. The second print is a sketch I believe(?). There is a black reverse sketch cover as well but I don't know it is 3rd printing or some kind of alternative cover...
The first print is the regular cover.
The second print is the black reverse sketch (the cover is black with white sketches)
The third print is a vairant cover, JLA group portrait inside shattered glass picture frame.

There is a rare sketch variant, which is the only version worth any money.

They are all first prints, but it's only the first 4 issues. Not really a deal at all. I ain't payin' that.
