I always enjoy the show quite a bit because they always have such a stellar guest list.
This year I'm going with a fiend of mine and we are both big fans of "Homicide: Life on the Street" and "The Wire" so we're going to try and do a walking tour of some of the shooting locations in the evening. It shouldn't be too tough since Fell's Point, which is where a lot of "Homicide" was filmed, is the neighborhood next to Inner Harbor. The important thing is not to drink too much at the bars on the tour that I forget the sight-seeing. Cause that would be really counter-productive.

I would be careful during that tour. Those are-last I knew-some rough 'hoods.rictor wrote:I always enjoy the show quite a bit because they always have such a stellar guest list.

Well, we're sticking more to "Homicide" locales, a fair number of the important places are actually in some decent areas. With "The Wire" production really went into the shadier areas, to aim for more authenticity.
Thankfully I have some friends who have lived in the area and have given me pointers on what areas to avoid. We are definitely going to be choosy about where we're headed.
