You don't see many of the #16 variant issues for that kind of money. Nice going!

It had the old price tag on it for $15 and I asked the guy, "That's not the right price, is it?" He said, "No way, those were back in the day prices." Kept my best poker face as he rang up several VH2s and late VH1s for $.50 each. Of course, I would've willingly ponied up the $15 on it, but it never hurts to try!! :D

Apparently, I just bought 50 copies of X-O #1 for $3.60, out the door, from Mile High.

I ordered 50 on a whim, as it was the ONLY things I was interested in at their 20% off thingie, thinking I'd get 10 or so. They dint have NUTHIN else. Lo and behold, I get the FINAL invoice, and there they are, 50 copies!

Heck, the 10 packs sold for $70.

So who knows?

Still...not cover price, but...ah well. $3.60 a copy's NOT bad.

Not a bad deal!!

I actually have 13 Harbinger 1 copies from Mile High. They were all priced as VFs and NMs on the site and that's exactly what they are. I think the worst is 9.0 and the best is around 9.6. All of them had coupons.

Sometimes you can actually score with a purchase from MH!

I just picked up 20 copies of Solar #2, 10 copies of Shadowman #2, 10 copies of X-O #5 and 10 copies X-O #6 for $1.00 each. I am going to get some more later as he still has more. :thumb:

From Mile High? Solar #2 is listed for $15. How could it be $1?
::edit - I'm answering my own question and guessing they're not from Mile High ::

No - not from Mile High. From another vendor I happened across on the web. I received the books today and MOST are NM - there are 2 Solar #2 books that are all dinged to hell, but the rest are nice. Well worth the buy in my eyes.

I bet your heart almost skipped a beat when you got that X-O Gold 1/2 for 7 bucks & a Gold #0 for 2.75. All at the same time no less. I definitely need a day like this.

That is great Chris. That was really cool that you got to meet Kevin and Carol. It is always nice to meet the people we communicate on the web with.

Nowhere near as good as Knight's score, but Si-Lords 1 Gold $1 and a Defiant logo 2" by 3" pin signed by Len Wein and Alan Weiss $5 - yeah, I know, not that cool, but I like it!! :P

Actually, they had a Deathmate Gold I think it was the prologue signed by Shooter and Jim Lee for $12. An interesting sig combo but I just couldn't spend $12 on anything Deathmate. :P

Recent on-line box lot. $28 incl shipping.

Sentry 1- 5, plus all one-shots, plus both variant # 1's.

Shadowman V3 1-6, plus the price variant of #1 --- and issue # 6 has a double-cover. Sweet! And before anyone asks me, that book stays in my collection as one of my favorite gems. Especially since I needed the book and was having one hell of a time obtaining it.....

plus 100+ various books of little to no interest.

It was one lot. $28 for everything.

The auction listed the 10 Sentry books, but not the variants. It mentioned Shadowman books, but was non-specific. A definite stroke of luck.

It has me hooked on ebay searching around for similar lots but seems the exception to the rule.
