Last time imageowner said near mint, someone slabbed it and got it back 9.8?
Image owner didn't slab it 'cause he thought it was only 9.6 ~ which means he undergrades!!!!!!!!
So if this is image owners and he says near mint, it probably is.
Then again, cgc has no listed public grading system.
NB ~ Harbinger near mint sold for $125 from imageowner, saying near mint. The guy who brought it slabbed it grades 9.8. And you jknow they go for £££££££.
Imagine this at 9.8 how much?
NNB ~ I am not starting a image2 fan club just stating the facts (as I recall)

Where do you see trhe rough corner at? You are looking at the right book , right? also, I believe the 2nd ding you see is actually the staple of the spine. You do know this is a Chromium cover right?*SQUEE* wrote:Brother J wrote:Do you mean unslabbed? According to the auction, it is Near Mint, so I wouldn't think that was what you meant.*SQUEE* wrote:I am surprised it is so high in that condition.
I see two spine nicks/creases and a rough corner. Looks like a 9.4 to me so that is why I am surprised.
9.4 is near mint. So why the question on the grade?
I do have a tendancy to overgrade. And it has cost me in the past. But I want to make sure I don't overgrade like some people I know.
I am not one of those guys that says " grading is subjective" No, I think grading is pretty cut and dry.

For you, Ryan, I hope this goes well. I'd be excited to see it break records. But, for the market I'm not so sure. I'm much happier when a Harby 1 in 9.8 sells for $2500 personally. It keeps the focus on the great quality of the books, and not on a "scavenger hunt" that this book has turned into.
I think it would be neat to have one, I'd never pay a crazy amount even if I had it to spare.

I have seen this book. I have held this book. IMHO, it will grade at a 9.6.imagesowner2 wrote:It is Near Mint. It does have 1 spine ding. Not 2, and the corners are NOT rough. they are just fine. The spine ding I am talking about is just to the left of the logo box. It is very clear on the scan.
I apppreciate all of the bids guys, you all are the best.
