Yea, some of those went for real cheap, I would have outbid them a little to win them had I known they were ending, someone came up! =]

Well, I only won one, but I think I got a great deal
Shadowman Gold CGC 9.8

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=010

Granted, I know that the chromiums are fairly indestructible, hence the high number of 9.8s, but how could I go wrong for $34.50 shipped? Anyone have the GPA on this?

You beat me by $0.50

(Which means, you got the book for "ridiculously low bid" plus $0.50.) :thumb:

Crap! I got out bid on almost all the X-Os I was after. I even set my max bid 35% or more over this site's guide price. :!:

Oh well, the quest continues.

Were you bidding on slabbed books or raw? The price guide here is for raw books, not CGC 9.8 graded books so if you bid valiantfans' guide or slightly over on slabbed books, no wonder you were outbid.

^^^ Maybe I am looking at it wrong, but the guide here has a column for CGC Graded Guide 9.8 and another column for CGC Graded Guide 9.6 -- which includes shipping.

yeah, you're right, they are there.

I don't believe the CGC prices were there when I was actively buying, so I never paid much attention to them... :tomato:

That's a relatively recent addition... once a critical mass of sales and slabs was reached,
it was time to try to put a guide out there for people. :thumb:

90 day average is 31.00 based on one sale. This sale isn't listed, as the seller didn't list this as a gold. In fact, it appears gpa counted this as a regular Shadowman 0 sale, not gold or chromium.
12 month is 42.00.

I won 5 of them, and got the one I wanted the most that was in my price range, Solar 14 in 9.8. :cloud9:

I was worried Greg would bid against me.

Missed the Shadowman 8, and one copy went for just a little over what I would have given, but I'll get it eventually. ;)

The rest I got were just cause they were cheap, I'm a sucker for signed books at a nice price, and I couldn't resist. Oh, I missed out on the Archer & Armsquirrel 8.... anyone got a slab they'd let go fairly inexpensively?

:hm:
