San Diego 2008
Moderators: Daniel Jackson, greg
Sorry I lamed out on dinner (and went AWOL for the past week or so on here) guys, the usual total overwhelming and bewilderment of SD, and then an onslaught upon returning to work (my boss is in Italy for bereavement leave, and the guy that is then in charge is in Italy on vacation, running in circles all day is grand.) Oddly enough, after preview night, me and my delinquent companion Doyle tried to find the Tilted Kilt (and failed miserably, based on having no idea where it was, and a complete unwillingness to do anything besides quit and have beers elsewhere). I hope it was all I imagined it to be. Show was overwhelming (again), but I left with a more worthy prize for my efforts this year, a painted page by Sam Kieth of the Hulk punching a polar bear. Here's an attempt at making up for my lack of awesomeness at the show, this is certainly something I'll hear the end of. ever.:

very cool to meet you to Johnny, even for a moment.
Next year, we will have to hook up. We'll save you a seat at the poker game.

You better believe it! I went to the Sideburn Technical Institute for fourteen years to carve out those babies. Now I'm halfway to my nonexistent dream of being a pro wrestler. I just need to pick my personal shade of magenta for my Speedo and boots, and put on about two feet in height and 150-200 pounds of muscle.

That's California for you, hehJohnnyRnR wrote:If/when back in San Diego, I can recommend the park that seems to connect almost a dozen museums even more than the exhibit. It was stunning. And there was a guy with no arms playing guitar with his feet who the locals called Big Toe. Pretty badass.
