I'm not sure i understand what you said here. You want help getting sketches, but then you say that you can't really get them?

That is not what I said at all. I am saying when you go to a guy/gal and ask for a sketch for charity you have to keep going back again and again until they get the time to finish it. I get a guy says sure he will do a charity sketch for me but I had to go back 5 times. Got there on preview night and was not able to pick up the sketch until late on the closing day. You have to keep going back and it may take days for them to get to it. I go to SDCC and I give myself HALF a day for myself, other than that I am humpin' the whole of the SDCC picking up stuff.

Bottom line, I would hate that Elveen be there on Thur through Fri and expect to turn in a backerboard, come back 24 hours later and walk away with nothing but wasted effort. You have to keep going back again and again checking on sketches. Some will knock them out right there... I've had some scribble something for me in the last 15 minutes of the Con. I can't complain, free is free but if a dude is going to blow me off in the end, I would rather spend my valuable time elsewhere.

Have I made that understandable ? I know it can be hard to figure out without having gone through it... and damned if it's not frustrating when you have been back to the guy over 15 times and he is telling you 'no no, come back after lunch, I'll have it'.... but then it is a pleasure when you get Neal Adams to knock out two masterpieces in 18 minutes, all the while talking to you and trying to get you to buy one of his sketchbooks, where he will do ANOTHER nice sketch for you, for free. Neal is the bomb.
