There's St. Marks Comics, but they tend to be expensive, whether you go to the one in The City or the one in Brooklyn. I think the other one is called Silver Age Comics. That one is over by W.4th street-it's actually on 8th, I think-in the village and has seemed to be the best place.

Here's a link to a list of shops. IT's not just for NY, either. You can find shops all over the USA:

I've never been happy with the comic market, especially VALIANT, in NYC, and I've been going there for over five years now. Enjoy NY and good luck with your book hunting. Hope this helped and let us all know if you find any worthy shops :thumb:

Mid-Town is great! I stopped in during the NY Comic Con and spent probably close to two hours looking through everything they had.

Didn't see much in the way of Valiant, but lots of graphic novels/collected editions.

Thanks everyone.

Went to Midtown, cool dvd stuff, kinda lack luster back issue wise.
The real store I liked, the name escapes me, but it's practically in Chealsea at like 14th and 7 av, they had a bunch of common valiants, I was not looking for but did have a few supreme issues I wanted from Alan Moore run.

I think you're talking about Roger's Time Machine. Yeah, that's a great place.

By the way, I went to that 8th street store a couple months ago and it looks like it closed up (unless they relocated or something).
