I release mp3 files.MoonChild wrote:No news from the doctorMoonChild wrote:Yea, so why make them video files instead of a regular mp3?
It sounds like a software and/or hardware problem on your end.
Is anybody else having the podcasts show up as mpg files rather than mp3? It doesn't sound like anybody is. I think I would have heard about this sometime in the last 4 months if it was a widespread problem.
I have downloaded the latest episode on three different computers and on my iPod and they all recognize it as an mp3 file, and play it as an mp3 file in iTunes, Audacity, Windows Media Player, real player, etc.
I don't think the problem is with the file format that the show is released in.

They are recognized as movie clips that are defaulted to open with quick time but yes, they work in windows media player and burn just fine in NERO.

are you using a mac to create these files? It might also be the bitrate, only 2 things I can think of.

These are created with a PC, using Audacity. The bitrate is low, I think I encode at 64 kbps, maybe lower. I don't recall, I would have to check my settings in Audacity to get the bitrate.
These ARE mp3 files though. They are not video files or any other format. If your software is recognizing them as anything different, I don't know what is going on on your end.

Yea there's alot of integrity in using the same quote thats been quoted more than a Dave Chapelle Skit.
Nothing dishonest about being honest so I don't even know where that came from but ok.

The quote is ethically neutral. A person neither has integrity nor lacks integrity to use that quote.MoonChild wrote:Yea there's alot of integrity in using the same quote thats been quoted more than a Dave Chapelle Skit.Nothing dishonest about being honest so I don't even know where that came from but ok.

Another great podcast guys. Loved hearing more about the Harbingers. Especially since I just yesterday completed my set of Harbinger by getting and reading issues 5 & 6 for the first time. (Kinda completed at least. I have the TPB of 1-4, so I've got the story and that's what is most important to me. Maybe someday I'll pick up the actual issues.)
Keep up the good work on the podcasts, I love 'em!

Cool! I only had the trade for the longest time, and only finally got 5, 6, and 7 about a year ago or so. The story is SO much better with all 7 issues than just 1 - 4.Phoenix8008 wrote:Another great podcast guys. Loved hearing more about the Harbingers. I've never listened to Word Balloon, 11 o'clock comics or Raging bullets. I'll have to check them out. 2-3 hour shows generally lose me. Around an hour is the sweet spot for me.Jay Tomio wrote:Word Balloon - best interview podcast by far IMHO. The Newsarama affiliation simply has unequaled reach and Suintres is the best interviewer I've heard on a podcast in this hobby.
Around Comics - used to be my favorite, and I think they are slipping a bit but still awesome enough to hang on to top easily. Losing Skottie Young hurts. Older AC is hilarious. Still damn solid with Katers and Co.
11'olock comics - New but solid all around.
CGS - the godfathers - and the go to guys because they so prolific. They have to come out with 3-5 episodes a week.
Raging Bullets - DC goodness and life saver because the shows do last 2-3 hours.
I agree about Around Comics. I used to love their show more than I do now. Those older episodes WERE hilarious. I still like the show though.
