Comic universes no longer active, Bravura, Continuity, CrossGen, Future, Malibu, Ultraverse... and others that are 'no longer with us' today (or only recently brought back).

Collecting a DU by accident

Post by Drift »

I have started to order my collection and have found a chunk of stuff By Pirhanna Press. I have had a look around the interweb and found out basically that they were a DC imprint in the early 90's that specialised in "alternative" material but know nothing else about them.

I have:

Etc # 1-5
The Wasteland
Sparrow
The Score 1-5 (duh 1-4. I knew what I meant)

I can also get hold of #2 of the brilliantly titled Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children.

Can anyone help me with a list of what they did so I can bag the rest?

Unless it was like, a Miracle on Broadway or a Bloodshot 0 Platinum, I wouldn't do it.

I've picked these up sporadically. A complete run of Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children is a challenge to pick up, plus the Cotton Candy Autopsy book goes for good money when it turns up.

What would he do for a Klondike bar?

What would he do for a Rai 9 VVSS?

What would he do for a Unity 0 Red?

Genius

The unity Red, i'm not sure he's too worried till he gets a reading set first,
but you might just have him with the Klondike bar( whatever it is, im sure he'll know)

Got it in the week.

A 5mm knock top left spine from bad packing, but it even came in original plastic folder.

Drift is not as fussy with condition as me. Just happy to get it for free.

I figured 35p was worth the gamble and it was.

So in the last 30 days i have picked up three of these for a total of £2.00.

I have one now, YAY!

I also just got a chunk of stuff at a show, if you have seen the Bragging Rights thread you would know this, maaaaaaaaaan.

Now just need:

Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children, 13, 21, 22
Cotton Candy Autopsy, 1 shot
Desert Streams, 1 shot
The Elvis Mandible, 1 shot
Epicurus the Sage, 1-2
Fast Forward, 1-3
Gregory, 1-4
Hardcore, 1 shot
Hiding Place, 1 shot
Laziest Secretary in the World, 1 shot
Mars on Earth, 1 shot
Nation of Snitches, 1 shot
Prince:Alter Ego, 1 shot
Sinners, 1 shot
What If This Were Heaven, Wouldnt it Be Hell?, 1 shot
Why I Hate Saturn, not sure if there are 1 or 2

24 or 25 comics left to get is not bad going methinks.

These are going to be tough. Sckao just mentioned in another thread how tough #21 was, I looked online and couldn't find one.

The Cotton Candy Autopsy trade is also a rare one, I have one. When a seller has one and knows how hard they are to find, they usually put a hefty price tag on them. Here's an extreme example:

I may have a few leads on the last couple issues of BSFUC but that CCA looks like it might be a bit of a *SQUEE*.

I feel silly, I said just about the same exact thing earlier in this thread. :!:

Why I hate Saturn was a one-shot by Kyle Baker, published in 1990.

It was reprinted in 1998 under the Vertigo banner.

Looks like I gots me 2 books to git.
