Its ME
Hi guys ..... and maybe a few girls. Maybe.
So i thought i would come in here and say a few things about me and my Valiant story.
My name is Ben and i'm from Ontario, Canada. I am a returning Valiant fan from back in the 90s. Harbinger #4 was my very first Valiant issue. Something about the cover (I'm from Canada, I love snow) drew me to the book. Once i saw David Lapham's artwork i was hooked. It was really refreshing at that time in the comic industry too see a group title that didnt have some meathead and muscle bound characters. Once i read the Jim Shooter story , i was hooked and of course this led to more Valiant titles.
Now after many years away from comics and Valiant in particular .... I found myself thinking about how much i really enjoyed the artwork and stories from their books. I decided too go down to my old comic shop and see what was laying around.
One of the frustrating parts of collecting when i was younger (before the digital age) was not being able too afford some of the Harbinger and Solar issues (my favourites).
I didnt find much locally so I headed online. After a few searches and a bunch of clicks , here i am.
I'm not a post wh*re or a big forum guy but after reading some post and getting a really cool vibe ( just like i did with those cool Valiant books) , I knew i MUST join.
Let the good times roll.
Cheers,
Ben
