Valiant Pins / Vouyers
Ok guys,
First off, let me thank everyone for their response to my postings, both to the comics for sale, as well as the questions regarding the pins and vouyers. Hopefully, my decision regarding these items won’t get me “flamed” or "slammed"
too badly!
Oh well, on to what everyone has been waiting on…. (I hope.)
I have decided that the most fair way to handle these items is to offer them on an on-the-board auction style. There will be “starting bids” on these. I hope that everyone will understand that I feel the starting price I will quote is fair and reasonable considering how hard it is to put sets like these together these days.
Regarding the Vouyers,
I know that a Bloodshot Vouyer sold recently on the board for $50, and I agree that while that one sale does not indicate that the “value” of a Vouyer should be $50 each, I am also aware that the Solar Vouyer is much, much harder to find, and the value of a complete set does have, imho, a certain value.
Regarding the Pins,
I know that the majority of the pins would be considered somewhat common, and easy to come by, there are a few that are harder to come by. (the gold Eternal Warrior pin, the large Red/White Solar pin, the Acclaim Comics/Valiant Heroes pins, and most importantly, the Ninjak “N” pin, and the Chaos Effect pin) those 6 pins account for over 25% of all the pins in total.
Ok , with those caveats aside, here are the “rules”
1. Starting immediately after this posting, and running until 9:00pm central time on Wednesday June 25th, bids will be accepted on one or both of these items. High bidder wins, provided that the “starting bid” has been met. (I know that someone will bid at least 1 dollar less just because!) Bids will be accepted by pm, posting, or e-mail.
2. Each evening, sometime between 6 and 8pm, I will post current “high bids”
3. In order to be fair to everyone, I will not end the “auction” early, or communicate bids privately.
I hope everyone will appreciate that I wish to be fair to everyone, and that I won’t get flamed too badly once I mention “prices.”
To recap,
Auction 1 All 11 Valiant Vouyers (including the chains)
Starting bid: $300.00
Auction 2 22 different Valiant Pins
Including: The Eternal Warrior Gold Pin
The large Red/White Solar pin
The Acclaim Comics / Valiant Heroes pins
The gold colored “N” Ninjak pin
The Chaos Effect pin.
Starting bid: $125.00
Thanks for everyone’s consideration of these items. I know that not everyone won't be able to afford / bid on them, and hope that noone will think too badly of me for this.
My best to everyone.

CBK,
You are correct. It is a "button" as opposed to a pin. I would guess it to be about 2" round.

Re: Valiant Pins / Vouyers
They are very rare, and I would hate to have two. Same with the Chaos Effect pin.Bosk wrote:CBK,

A couple things bother me about the button... I have been told this was a convention giveaway. I can't find any sort of mark on it that says it was from Valiant. Don't read anything into that - when you find this button in a Valiant collection it is certainly this convention giveaway.
Anyway, Id like to use the opportunity to let those in the know about this item to chime in and educate us about the Solar button. I will post a picture of mine in another thread and link it from here later.
Thanks for making these sets available here. If I win the pin set I'm not going to keep the doubles and will end up selling most of it. I am hoping someone picks it up who needs more of the pins than I do. I only need two of them.
I have a full Voyeur set or if I needed some of those I would do the same thing.

Sorry for the delay in todays update. On the road, and had connection issues when I got home.
Exceedingly
this evening. To date, I have received one "under minimum" bid on the vouyers. (I knew it would happen!) Hopefully, everyone is biding their time until tomorrow night and there will be a heated rush at the last minute. If not, I will continue to treasure these items. Thanks to CBK for the info on the red/white Solar buton. I know that there were posting on the board a while ago regarding the button, but forget (ain't it something what old age does to the memory?) who were the posters were. I welcome any and all news regarding this as well as any of the other pins. Knowledge is always a good thing, imho!
I will post an update once again tomorrow around 6:00 pm, and will be waiting to see what the finale brings.

Ok guys, here is the final update.
Vouyers - currently there is one "below the minimum" bid.
Pins - current high bid is $130.00.
It's about three hours until the deadline, so if you are interested, now is the time.

You may be right, but I don't know if I am prepared to do the ebay thing just yet. (In truth, if I didn't have a rather pressing need right now, I would not even be considering letting them go.) I suspect that those members that are interested in them are holding off, playing it close to the vest so they don't get outbid. (I hope so anyways.)
In the long run, it's all good!

Gentlemen,
Thanks to all who placed bids on my items. All were appreciated.
Winning bids are as follows:
Valiant Vouyers: $305.00
Valiant Pins: $225.00
Out of respect for the winning bidders, I will leave it up to them to reveal themselves to the board. (Not that I think either would mind, just wish to respect their priviacy, just in case.)
PM's to the winning bidders will be sent out immediately following this posting.

I traded off a set years ago for some
original art and thought it would be easy to get another set together.
Boy was I wrong! Thanks Bosk for putting these up!

To all my Valiant friends:
I was meaning to send out a personal thank you to all who bid on these items, but find that I have accidentially deleted all the messages in my inbox. So, for everyone who submitted a bid, and also to all those who expressed a desire to, but circumstances prevented them from doing so, please accept my sincere thanks. You can't begin to imagine the need met.

If I had $300, I would have given you a run for your money.
I think I might have one or two of these... certainly not a set.

I'm curious about how many sets of these were made. I wonder if Walter would Know?greg wrote:Congrats!sonicdan wrote:Bosk wrote:
