For one, maybe we would have gotten part two of Lifelines.Ryan wrote:I wonder if they called him? As much as I love the BWS issues, I always wondered what Shooter's take on the characters would have been if he could have continued from #0.dellamorte wrote:This sounds like a great HC. The new creative team is very well picked and the cover should be killer. It's sad to see BWS not involved but I don't think anyone is shocked.
Why is 0 titled "Lifelines Part 1" if there was never a part two?

Didn't one of the stories at rama or one of the press releases say something about VEI looking into doing comics early next year or something?
Check out the last paragraph of this article.

It's been working for me. Still, here are the last three paragraphs from that article.
Valiant Comics is being relaunched by Valiant Entertainment Group, a privately financed company headed by CEO Jason Kothari and chief creative officer Dinesh Shamdasani, both of whom will be co-producers on the film.
Valiant Comics developed a strong following by launching hero franchises that had interconnected storylines (much like DC and Marvel titles). Company, which sold 80 million comicbooks and 8 million videogames, was sold to vidgame company Acclaim Entertainment in 1994 for $65 million but had done little recently as that company hit the financial rocks.
Kothari's group bought the Valiant library last year after Acclaim filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Its plan is to republish its best titles and begin generating new issues by year's end. Valiant signed with WMA to make movie deals for the franchises

Now that is weird. My dad's favorite Valiant book is Solar. For his birthday last year I gave him a copy of Dr. Solar #1. Weird thing is the book came out the same month and year he was born.Squirrel wrote:It just seems to get better and better, look at the release date

Actually a new reader might realize that issues 1 and 2 are part of a crossover and then go hunt down Unity. It could get them into it just as easy as put them off. It's not like Unity is super hard to get.Virgule wrote:Great news but i'm a bit concerned over the unity issues.. no that good for understanding for new readers...
I might pass if my month is loaded.. I still think big essential in B&W would be great.... I don"'t see hardcover of solar 35-42 selling that much if it ever happen (in like 5 years at most) but hey that 's just me.
Though if they put Eternal warrior 1-7 (or better 1-8) I would go for that (with real dust jacket and full covers please...)

Chronicles of Conan
If any of you can't wait for Sept. 24th I'd recommend getting the first 3 or 4 volumes of Dark Horse's Chronicles of Conan reprint series. The BWS art is stunningly recolored and it's probably a good teaser for what we're in store for.
The material they were using for those was obviously even over a decade older than A&A and some stories had better resources than others resulting in mixed quality, but none of it looks bad. Looking at those right now and my X-O and Harby HCs I can't help but think this will be the most impressive one yet.
