Magnus' appreciation of Tekla
Hi. I was checking out the Magnus: Steel Nation TPB (issue 3) and noticed something said by Leeja of Magnus' thoughts of Tekla:
"You're so...respectful of her--! When you think of me, it's...piece by piece!"
Magnus sees Tekla as a whole. He appreciates her.
In Dr. Betty Edward's book on art Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, she explains how to truly and clearly see, allowing you to draw:
"The global skill of drawing something that you see "out there" (a person, object or landscape) requires only five basic component skills. These skills are not drawing skills, but perceptual skills: the perception of edges, the perception of spaces, the perception of relationships, the perception of lights and shadows, and the perception of the whole, or gestalt."
— Betty Edwards
She says that by seeing things as a whole, you notice many things you hadn't before. You can see beauty, you can see truth.
It's interesting. It's cool that Shooter wrote that to describe Magnus' feelings for Tekla.
