Where is that Spidey #6 auction? I can't find it.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 20392&rd=1
Frightening.
Anyone notice the '9.4 CGC Spidey #6' auction end for $360? Wouldn't that be a kick in the butt if it was for real...?
Hobo...you won the Cap #30...any news?

I'm usually put off by any "private" feedback. I know there is some legitimate purpose to it, but I can't figure it out. Therefore, I'd just avoid the auction even though that FF #48 looks purty.
ASM Crossover Home
You are right - He has re-listed his last two auctions. ncm22 probably gave him that positive before he received the Watchmen books. Someone should reach out to him to see if he actually got the books. The guy who gave him the last negative must be boiling mad.riftt wrote:WARNING: Avoid ebay seller "Happycomicsguy" at ALL COST. He is a serious shill bidder and dishonest seller. After confronting him with his multiple shill accounts he was forced to take his comic auction down. He has several valiant auctions up that I would be very, very wary of bidding on. Just look at his recent feedback.

You know..."comicspriceguide.com" is a joke, and run by a total flaming jerk...
These 'prices' are not paid by anyone but the very, very foolish, IF THAT, and their only purpose is to legitimize 'full Overstreet Guide' prices for the guy who SELLS and points out what they're 'worth' in HIS guide!
Of COURSE he's going to say what they're 'worth', he's TRYING TO SELL THEM!!!!!!
THIS is why CONFLICT OF INTEREST laws are WRITTEN. GRRRRRRRRRR.

This cost $59 to grade!MagnusRF wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 35749&rd=1

Idiot. Moron sends in an 8.5 modern, and picks express service, DESERVES to throw away $59.
I wonder if the graders cringe when they see crap like this?

While I don't personally use comicspriceguide.com, I was sure that there's
no way they would value Spider-man #1 (Newsstand Edition, Bagged, With UPC Code)
at $318 in 9.4.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 35749&rd=1
...and they don't list it at $318... no guide would make that mistake.
Comicspriceguide.com shows it worth about $25 in CGC 9.4... BUT...
He is just reading the site wrong because it does look like they put $318
on the book if you read the line below it. (For the Platinum version...)
Wow, what an expensive error caused by poor website formatting!

Just thought people would be interested in the response when I told the guy that $318 was the platinum version, not the green version.
My message to him
Chris
My message to him
His responseActually, the 9.4 graded copy for $318 on comics price guide is for the platinum version. The purple description line refers to the price ABOVE the description. Thus, the green spider is $25, not $318. Chris
I wished him the best of luck selling it.ACTUALLY YOU NEED TO STUDY YOUR PRICE GUIDE A LITTLE MORE-NOTE THE ATTACHMENT THAT IS SENT ALONG-SPIDER MAN #1F GREEN VARIANT (NEWSTAND EDITION) BAGGED WITH UPC CODE 9.4 CGC GRADED IS $318.00--MINE IS GRADE 8.5 SO ITS SOME WHERE AROUND THE $225.00 PRICE--THUS YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT--THANK YOU
Chris

I can understand him being touchy - assuming his story is true, he probably did look it up on comicspriceguide.com, saw it had a $300 "value", and decided to pony up the $59 for the standard grading service to get it back quickly. Since he thought it was worth over $250, you aren't supposed to use the modern service, and the wait times on the economy are extreme.Daniel Jackson wrote:He a bit on the touchy side isn't he?
So, it's going to be hard to hear that a book you have $59 into for grading is never even going to make that back - ever.
And, worst of all, he's sure he is right at this point, after putting all this effort into it. So, he is an *SQUEE*, but he's an *SQUEE* I can relate with.

I don't suppose one more reply to him that says:
OK, IF CGC 9.4 IS WORTH $318, EXPLAIN THIS:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 6508990031
(You think that would help at all?)
Anyone have any idea why ComicsPriceGuide would list
the "bagged" versions in CGC grades?
They have to be unbagged in order to be slabbed.
