Well I said pencils in the plural so unless Shooter has more than one Wang...Squirrel wrote:MUST RESIST GAY COMMENT......MUST RESIST.............cobra_commander wrote:I'd like to see his pencilsSquirrel wrote:It would depend on what Shooter wanted, maybe he don't wanna be anything more then a writertsokolate wrote:If Jim were to work for Valiant would he get a higher up position like an editor instead of just being a writer?

ITEM! Yeah, so what happened with that Jim-Shooter-off-Legion thing? Industry gossip has the move down to the "Legion Of Three Worlds" series that trampled on what Shooter saw as his plans for his series. And, so, vamoose.

Maybe Jim got a better offer.

It would be a shame if DC did anything intentional to make Jim uncomfortable. Does anyone have the sales numbers for LOSH prior to and since Jim came on board? His contribution to the title surely has been a boost for sales. One thing for sure, when Jim finishes his run, there will be no books on my pull list except a standing order for anything Valiant.

Is it just me, or does Shooter seem to get pushed out of a lot of places? Off the top of my head, I can only think of Marvel and Valiant, but even that (plus maybe Legion) is a lot. Is he really that hard to work with?BloodOfHeroes wrote:I've got a college bud at DC. (Hushed) word on the street isn't that Jim left of his own volition. Don't know if it's true or not, but that's what he's hearing.![]()
Maybe Levitz can get him back? Otherwise my only monthly, regular purchased book will be YOUNG LIARS.
I've read on another forum that there were guys that were fired by Jim back at Marvel that now hold top positions at DC. So he has enemies in that company. It could be very easy for a group of guys that have influence there to get together and sabotage his work by saying "we're going in another direction" and get rid of him.

I started buying LOSH when Shooter came on board, so it'll be a shame if he leaves so soon. (I thought initially that he was staying for at least 12-16 issues.)
Returning to Valiant in any capacity would be my ideal scenario, but I just hope he doesn't disappear from comics if he goes out on a sour note with DC.

This is a shame. I really detest when creative teams don't stay on a book for at least a year. I wonder if the current penciller will stay with the book?Chiclo wrote:palls15 wrote:I started buying LOSH when Shooter came on board, so it'll be a shame if he leaves so soon. Well it will be $2.99 less I spend, so I will be reading more Batman and Detective.

I agree. I have been buying the book with Shooter at the wheel. I'll be saving $2.99 as well.tarheelmarine wrote:This is a shame. It won't be gentle. Just look at all the blood and gore involved with the lust games in Warriors of Plasm.steverino wrote:Just as long as he's gentle.Vault-Keeper wrote:steverino wrote:It'd be nice to see Jim back at Valiant!
well, if he came back for the Legion, he might as well come back for another romp with Valiant...

Shooter
I think Shooter would be great to set the company off the right foot and help transition to a younger Editor with similar vision. By the way new here..Been a Valiant fan since day 1....Awesome this site is here
