I never really thought about it because I never saw anything that made me think about it.
It was like Romeo and Juliet....without, you know, the poisonings and whatnot... :P

Just for the record I have never had to cut anyone. But I did have a butterfly knife as a kid.

Butterfly knife dealer. Sweet.

I got mine for $5 from a neighborhood "hoodlum". I remember that the exchange was quite sketchy. It was nice, it had some fake mother of pearl inlays. I thought I was the real deal. I think I had three at one time.

I didn't see retroco in the EBay ID thread at http://www.valiantfans.com/forum/viewto ... 75&start=0
But he was also the buyer of the Harby #1 VFVSS on 4/27/08 for $411.66 at
http://cgi.ebay.com/Harbinger-1-VFVSS-N ... dZViewItem

Who is this mysterious person and what are his or her intentions?

Geesh, I remember the days when they were asking that about me, and I never threw around that kind of cash...

Such a proud day...to see someone who paid, what, $40?...for a board project, and see them be able to turn around in less than two years and sell it for 10 times what he paid.

My heart weeps with joy....no, really. Honest.

Weepy weepy.

It's nice that DL is getting such a large amount for his art. :thumb:

And the nice thing, of course, is that the market decided what it was worth, not DL. :thumb:

I asked the the lady that is selling all of this art (Renee) last week in an email,if the cover art was for sale. Here's her reply.....

"Unfortunately,David doesn't have this cover. He doesn't know if he ever did. Though he should. Apparently there was a lot of bad blood when he left Valiant and he said he had a tough time getting artwork back. Still, though,he really doesn't know. Maybe it's in a pile somewhere.".....

That's too bad.Like she said,it's probably sitting in a pile somewhere.Where it can't be appreciated.

Jay Tomio wrote:So the letting me hold them to start a new religion idea didn't fly I guess. *sighs* Bowing down to corporate master again - Luckily I'm half-Japanese.
You know what odd little factoid I found out recently about the Japanese...?

They suffer from palmer hyperhidrosis (sweaty palms) at a rate 10 times the rest of the world....

...which has led some to theorize that's why bowing became prominent as a means of greeting...because of social concern over sweaty palms.

Weird, huh?

I also found out that, when someone is about to fart, a common utterance is "listen, listen, a little tulip!"

I love the Japanese. They're so cool.
This is why I was created as a hybrid. The Japanese is in me to insure standard of living and the hispanic blood - just in case I may have to cut somebody one day. The sweat palms would have made me less adroit with my razor. I am the living, literal, true Ninjak.

I really need to start drinking coffee again...
Last of the Mo' Ricans

Again, the obvious question begging to be asked..

Half Puerto Rican, Half Japanese?

Jay, do you have any sisters? :thumb:
