Book Binding - A Homemade Trade Paperback question
Every once in a while I see someone who is selling their "custom-made" hardcover of a series i.e., All-Star Squadron 1-67 in 2 Hardcover volumes.
I'd love to do that to overstock of some Valiant's I have to see how it would look. Let's face it, I liked the stories, not the value of the books. I know, I would essentially destroy the books, but I'd keep them in a bookshelf format.
Anyone know where I could find more information on how to do this? I know that Kinko's probably could, but I'm not interested in spending a bazillion dollars on hardcovering an Eternal Warrior run.
Thanks guys!

Are you serious? I'm having serious...serious....and this is really silly, I know....but serious issues with Cerebus being done and over with.x-omatic wrote:Did you hear that Dave Sim has made Cerebus public domain. Meaning anyone can reprint his work.
Yes, yes, I KNOW Cerebus isn't real, he's a fictional character...
But Dave and Ger are, and for well over 10 years, they've been a part of my life...
and now....well, hell, I'm not to proud to say I've shed a coupla tears....

Capitol Bindery is the way to go if you want comics bound into books.

I had the entire 61 issue output of Atlas Comics bound into 3 volumes with a slipcase - http://www.dpbanks.com/zolli.html
I was very pleased with their work.

I thought the public domain thing was only after Sim and Gerhard are dead. That's a ways off.x-omatic wrote:Did you hear that Dave Sim has made Cerebus public domain. Meaning anyone can reprint his work.

Just a pic from a site that shows some examples of the topic discussed above. Not mine, although I am already rounding up some comics to get bound. I love the idea!
