There are a couple of things with VH2 stuff. Some people, like myself, only bought them when they came out because it was "Valiant". The stories are alot different than VH1 and at the time I didn't give them a fair chance. Reading them on their own I like them. There were some fans of the books who never read any VH1 stuff so they might collect it again. I think the main reason there are not alot of books is not because they were bad stories, but rather stores didn't order them for the shelves. The only book, out of all of the VH2 stuff I ever saw a store order extra copies of was Q&W. I think most people don't even know that the books ever came out.
With more interest in VH1, that will carry over into VH2. Most of the VH2 print runs are between 5,000 to 10,000. A few books are @1,000 or less. If you want to read the books, you will have to search to get them.

Personally, I think the Quantum & Woody series was one of the funniest, quirkiest, and most entertaining series I have ever read. The humor just kept me rolling throughout the entire series. Just wish I had the last 3 TPBs. The others weren't so bad, but Q&A was the best by far.

Personally I was a big fan of the VH2 books. Having read the original line from Unity on and staying a die-hard fan long after the glory was gone these books were a breath of fresh air. I know some people here will say it wasn't necessary to reboot the line, but if you look back and remember the market at the time it was the only way. Sadly, the books paid for the sins of their fathers and didn't get a fair shake. I firmly believe if these books started coming out now as the new Valiant we all clamor for the majority of us would be happy with the quality, not to mention all the threads that would start up as pieces of the original universe started to pop up toward the end. If you haven’t tried these books yet I say go for it. They're a lot better than most of the post unity Valiant that came out.

Quantum and Woody was super! A real gem. I thought Troublemakers had promise! I hated Ninjak and X-O Manowar, both were not entertaining to me. The Eternal Warriors was ok, Shadowman was good and the Darque series was excellent. What ever happened to Chirstina Z.? She was great. Magnus Robot Fighter was silly especially with the robot president storyline. Doctor Tomorrow was excellent also! Did I miss anything?

I love Quantum and Woody...and to this day I'm still buying their wares (just found the 3rd GN for cover price at the local shop....woohoo). Glad that a movie might still be coming out...glad that it still reads well today.
I was doing an article on Q&W when Priest fell off the face of the Earth. Hadn't heard back from him since December. I'll wait a few more weeks...and if the article is truly dead, maybe I'll post up the new interview I did with Doc Bright.
BUY QUANTUM AND WOODY! Bloodshot VH2 was pretty damned good too.

I only read the VH2 XO Manowar. And that was pathetic.
Quantum and Woody
I am reading the Quantum and Woody run now. This really great stuff and wish they had done more. There is just not enough funny books in the comic marketplace.

I was a big fan of JLA and JLE and JLI runs for that matter! Bwahaha will forever be etched into my mind by Booster Gold and Blue Beetle cracking on eachother.graybola wrote:I just reread the 1980's Kieth Giffen Justice League trade and had soem good laughs. Check it out if you get the chance.
