Writing a book...free for 1st 100 board members...
Hey, folks!
My dissertation...just isn't happening. So I decided to cut out from that and try my hand at my first love, sci fi and fantasy writing.
I'm writing my first novel, and man, it's rocking! Or at least, I think so (of course, I'm biased). If you liked Harbinger, I think you'll like it. It has that kind of feel, kinda like the X-Men, too. It also will remind you a lot of Knights on Broadway and Fatale (except no pics of sexy babes...sorry!). Also, if you like Stephen King or Dan Simmons, I think you'll like it.
I'm still writing it, but it's almost halfway done, and I hope to print about 350 copies by this summer. Anyway, I'll probably give most of them away for free (the first 10 I'll keep, the next 30 or so will go to family and friends--additional copies will be sent to publishers and writing agents, if I can find them). So yeah, 100 will be free for you guys...after all, I need the exposure.
When I'm ready, I'll announce it and you guys can email me or pm me and let me know you want one.
So anyway, keep your eyes peeled this summer, and I'll be giving 100 copies away FOR FREE to the first 100 board members who want them. I think you guys will like it...it definitely has the "Jim Shooter Valiant" feel, since Shooter is one of the guys I'm aiming to be like (along with Stephen King, Dan Simmons, etc.).
I'll even pay the shipping cost, so there's no risk to you.
Just a free book...all I ask is that if you like it, you spread the word.
I'll set up a website and do additional printings on demand. Stay tuned!
Take care! I'll definitely keep you guys posted. Again, I'm aiming for this summer.

Until you hook up with a publisher, this is a brilliant way to market your book!bamaphilosopher wrote: I'll even pay the shipping cost, so there's no risk to you.Just a free book...all I ask is that if you like it, you spread the word.

Heh heh heh...Ryan always makes me laugh.RyanMcLelland wrote:I'll be happy to take one, read one, and then read one again. I don't need two copies for that, I can read the same one over and over.

By the way....didn't you say, Bama, that you're going to wait until later to ask for folks to be 'in'?
Or is this now the official 'in' list?
If so..I'm in.
