Regarding Solar, Magnus and Turok, what do you think?

Solar and Magnus would be very nice, but not essential. IMO.

I agree with you; I think Turok is unnecessary...

Magnus and Solar have continuity tie-ins, but other than "The Lost Land" I don't see a continuity tie-in with Turok...

A monthly publishing Valiant w/o the Gold Key characters is better than a dead universe but I hope VE is able to relicense them at some point. I mean, what would we do without Captain Johner and the Aliens? :D

As a continuation from VH1, they are needed. Solar and Magnus more so than Turok. If we are getting a reboot, then I think we can survive without them.

I think Solar & Magnus are essential. They are the foundation that the entire universe was built on.

They are essential, but we'll probably have to take the ride without them!

Very much an essential part of the machine, as they were the point of the whole thing existing etc.

Ditto.

I'll still support them either way, but I believe VEI stands a much better chance of succeeding with the GK characters on board.

Like others, I would greatly prefer to see Solar and Magnus as part of the new Valiant material. Turok I could take or leave, but more than likely if they get any they will get all three.

Since we don't know what form the new Valiant material will take, we will just have to wait and see. I'd still buy VEI's stuff if they weren't present (at least to start and see how good it was), but they would be missed.

VEI with the Gold Key characters would be the best.

I would still give the comics a try without them though.

I've said that from the beginning....The VU was built around them so to speak.

I could do without Turok.. maybe as a supporting character..

What about keeping him in the past to deal with the creation/protection of the Geomancers?

Ivar could stop in and seem him at times. He could leave notes with the Geomancer to keep for specific periods of time for his freinds in the future?
Maybe fighting some dinos or spider aliens in the past?

Just some thoughts.

At least that sounds better than what Valiant was doing with the character when he got his own series.

It would be cool if he could be in the new books. And he is a recognizable propperty, so that would be good.

But I don't see him as supporting his own book. Maybe down the road..... a few years.

Yeah, they could use him in guest appearances and one shots till they figure out the best way to use the character.

Ideally, I'd like all three.

Turok too, though i'd want to see him used differently, as mentioned in other threads - kind of like Valiant's answer to Captain America.
