Dude, I can't... not all the time. There towards the end, the Jurgens run, it sucked.... hard.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Respect the Solar.

I thought that issue #60 was pretty good and the Dan Jurgens "Brave New World" arc was worth reading. The rest is a bit of a train wreck, however.

I've come to believe, thanks to Byrneout, that if the Jurgens issues are taken in a certain light(or his supposed intent ) they are actually quite entertaining...I'll try and locate that particular thread...it was quite awhile ago...

Good link. I had forgotten about that. Ric does make some good points there.

I would love to interview Jurgens about BNW--especially about his take on the "Urban Assault Commando," so clearly a commentary about Superman: Golden Age hero gets long-hair and all gritty. His lady love, Luna, being a multi-generational love interest for UAC. Lots of commentary there.

Ugh.
Thanks. That's all I needed to know.

I really enjoyed #60 but since it was penciled by one of my favorite artists (Jeff Johnson) that could have helped.

Great cover. To me the way Solar is drawn is perfect.

For some reason the way Solar is drawn brings me back to the cover of #3.

As always, opinions will differ regarding which issues in a series are most relevant. For me, after the initial 18 issues of Solar, the #46-50 story arc and the final two books (#'s 59 and 60) are the most significant. Good reads exist among the remaining issues but little of great importance.
