David Lapham Fans NEED to read this!!!!!!!

So who's gone the furthest to get a Young Liars book so far. My LCS didn't have it and today I drove to Raleigh which by Mapquest is 67 miles one way and found both #1 and #2. Will be reading both tonight and putting #1 in the mail this week.

I was going to pick up a copy last Wednesday, but it was a $40 week at the LCS, so I pulled a copy and asked them to put it in my slot for this week. Thankfully it's only a $10 week this week. Can't wait to check this book out!

Hey David,

Thanks for the great offer. I sent my Young Liars last week, so hopefully you will get it soon.

I'm lucky to be living in NY so it wasn't hard for me to go to one of the bigger comic book chains here and find Young Liars when it came out. However, after reading everyone's comments I checked to see if they had any Young Liars back issues in stock and they didn't, so it may be hard for the series to find an audience at least until the first trade. I find that Vertigo comics don't tend to do well in the monthly form, but can pick up readership when the trades come out. I know that no one bought the Transmetropolitan issues by Ellis when they came out monthly, but enough people bought the trades to keep the comic going. Hopefully that same thing will happen to Young Liars, because I love how the story and music intermix so well and can see a great story coming fully together in the near future.
