Best ones there are. It feels like you spent nothing and added some great books to your collection. Big pickups are cool, but even if they are cheap your wallet still feels it.small pickup but good
i got
solar 2
x-o 4
marvel transformers 78 and 79
for 4 bones
small but great pickups ive never seen transformers above 70 before

Took a friend to the comic shop today. Now, I'm pretty much broke in terms of comic money for a while but I was browsing while she was looking for her precious MANGA. Well, I came upon something nice. Nothing huge, but a nice deal. It was there, bagged, boarded and with the half off sale today, only .50 cents. What was it? Concrete Jungle. My friend actually paid the price, despite the fact that I could easily have paid it myself. So, I have a NM Concrete Jungle for FREE. Oh yeah, and she also got me a Knights on Broadway # 1, also in the dollar bin. Nothing big, but a very nice little pickup. Much better than the 2-4 dollars EACH these things would usually cost.

The first time I went to my new lady friend's house, she was showing me part of her comic collection.
She said she wanted to test me and my comic knowledge. She had a comic that she didn't know a thing about. It was autographed and she'd never seen another one like it, either that series or by that publisher.
She pulled out Knights on Broadway 1. Autographed by Shooter.
Needless to say, I seemed more impressive than I really am at that moment.

Well, went to Gem-City, and was very dissapointed at first. I was hoping to find lots of bargain bins to sort through for Valiants, but there was very little. Alot of silver and Bronze, but little moderns. But, I did get these:
Magnus GK Hardcover Volume 1 $25
Eternal Warrior 1 Gold Embossed $20 (This is so pretty I'm probably going to submit it in hopes of a 9.6!)
I bought these from a guy I buy from regularly who looks for stuff for me at the big shows. But, I did find one fellow who collected Valiant who had a nice batch to sort through, and found...
Visitor vs. VU 1 $2.50 Newstand cover $1
Legend of Zelda 1 No Cover Price $1
Mage 6 (1st Color Grendel) $1
These 3 made the day worth it. I usually don't have this much success, and it's the first time I've found a "tough book" that sells for more than $10 in a loooong time from my Valiant needs!
But, I also picked up an original art card of Velma from SCooby Doo from a 1976 sticker set with Topps Vault COA for $20, and a Jonah Hex 1 (Bronze book) in about F or F+ for $12.
So, all in all, a nice day. Didn't spend all my money, and passed up some overpriced stuff like a Harby 1 without coupon in about VG for $10.
Anyway, just thought I'd share. Been the first time in a while I had something nice like this... but wait, there's more.....
(Nice story coming soon)

Today I stopped by one of the shops here in town.
I picked up a NM VH1 Magnus Robot Fighter #4, a VF-NM Unity #0, Magnus Robot Fighter #21, Uncanny X-Men #211 & 212 VF+ for each, a Daredevil #181 in NM (I may send this one to CGC!), a NM Wolverine (1st series) #9, All-Star Superman #9, Secret invasion #1 convention cover (I'm going to the San Diego comic con this summer. Hopefully I can get someone to do a Skrull Wolverine for me!), and a New X-men #1 (regular cover)
All for $33!
