$380.00 in just a few hours. It is a 7 day auction. There is plenty of time. This kind of bidding will sometimes scare a seller into ending the auction.
Greg (if he hasn't already) should just invite him here. We all have street cred.

If the price SOARS on this one, people will scramble to uncover the ones they KNOW they have....

The only one who loses, of course, is Dino.

Ok, I'm kidding, I kid! :)
That's exactly what I was thinking. And here I thought one day I could trade my copy and make out pretty well. That may not happen.

Does anyone think this guy got these copies from the Acclaim fire sale?

Wow insane! I bought my copy from one of the artists who worked on it, along with the ink cover.
http://sonicdan.com/valiant/turokev.html

The price is crazy (go Dino!) but I agree that it should help bring more of them out.
In my experience with working at music books & movies retail stores
is that most of this stuff usually either gets trashed when the promotion is over,
is given to employees, or sits in the backroom forever.
Someone should get a list of every EB games store in the country,
call each one and see who has a case of 'em in their backroom still. :hope:
Seriously.

I remember when that was on eBay. It was before I knew it to be a variant. :(
What does it have as the back cover? As the regular one is a wrap around.

Here's a scan of the back...just an ad for Acclaim's Vexx game.

I'm trying to figure out how it's "insane". This book is in constant demand in the Buy/Sell/Trade area and everyone here knows how tough this book has been to find. At the current bid price, it's $38.00 a copy (not figuring in the shipping which isn't a lot). If someone had put up a Dutch auction for these books at $40 a pop, I guarantee they would have sold like wildfire. Greg's guide has this book listed at $80, so at a cost per copy price, it's not even at half guide price yet.

In a very strange coincidence, the book was listed for $50 before
my last update (on Jan. 21st)... when I raised it to $80 because
I was sure that if a copy turned up on Ebay, it would sell for more
than $50 (given that multiple copies of Shadowman Vol 3 #2 variant
have sold for more than $50... and we see them more often).

I had no idea we'd see 10 copies... after we hadn't seen one!

Oh well... we'll re-write the price guide after these find their new homes, right?

You know, somebody could do a Super Elite VCVSS with these.

It's kinda funny to see such a scramble for hands down the worst comic in all of VH1, VH2 VH3 and any other VHs that will ever exist.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. It's an even number of books.

my ploy to make you all think I bid really high didn't work. I guess Im going to have to bid really high for real.

BUT

what if zeph is right and a few people see this and start putting thier books on ebay before these 10 can be distributed

OR

what if this guy has a case full of these and is gonna list ten more right as this auction ends

OR

what if when I call every EB store in the world tomorrow I find more copies

OR

what if this guy is full of it....

lots to think about

No, you see that's just 'gold-covered' Deathmate.
You still need a pooper-scooper because the gold is really thin.

I thought that you ddint include prices of "lots" in the price guide. I can see why you would on a book like this, but I thought that in the past you didnt include lots... :thumb:

I remember last year when everyone went nuts over my copies of Valiant Voice #19. Then the price fell. Then CanvasCutie brought out a boatload of X-O #1/2 Gold. Then the price fell. See a pattern?

I see no reason to go NUTZ over these, BUT I'd like to have one! So whoever wins, contact me. I have alot of rare stuff available for a trade!---Steve
