*SQUEE* Vikes Comics. *SQUEE* him in his *SQUEE* *SQUEE*. That son of a *SQUEE* is as bad for the comics industry as Ron Perelman but fortunately he's not as influential a position. I wouldn't *SQUEE* on him were he on fire.
The first time ol' Vikes came to my attention, I was the second high bidder on a Unity 2000 lot listed as VF, he was high bidder. The selling price was between $20 and $25, the exact figure escapes me for the moment, but I was surprised less than a week later to see Vikes listing a lot of Unity 2000 less than a week later listed as NM/M (near M & Ms?) with an opening bid of something recockulous like $59.99. I did take quite a bit of pleasure out of seeing that lot relisted several times with the price periodically dropping (but not every outing) and never selling. Finally he put an opening bid of something like 1 or 99 cents and the auction sold slightly higher than he paid for the auction initially, I am tempted to say right at what he paid for the lot and shipping together.

Over grades an almost criminal amount. I believe there are other cases where if the item doesn't sell for high enough, it gets lost in the mail...schi0249 wrote:Stupid question. But whats the deal with this seller? I've never heard of them and their feedback seems decent.
Other irritating thing, he often purchases books listed as F/VF, then sells tehn off as NM, leading back to the over grading.
Just one of the many sellers the board collective warns people off from due to negative experiences.

Long Answer:schi0249 wrote:Stupid question. But whats the deal with this seller? I've never heard of them and their feedback seems decent.
Also Feedback seems decent because he is a retaliatory feedback seller, and since most ebay buyers will not give negative feedback for fear of their own neg.
If nothing else wait till may hits and Feedback will be far more accurate as buyers should no longer be afraid to give a neg when it is justified.
Short Answer:
He's kind of a *SQUEE*.

Well, I thought about it a bit last night, and I think that it may add to the number of deadbeat buyers. People will be able to win a dozen auctions, then decide which three of those they actually want, as an example.Daniel Jackson wrote:Mostly good.Dr. Solar wrote:Sellers will not be able to leave negative feedback for sellers.
I see the good and the bad..
This may not happen, but we'll see.

Which, of course, is entirely against eBay rules....not that they care.maraxusofkeld wrote:It also seems that he may not have the books inhand once they are sold, which causes the long shipping times. He might know he's getting them from somewhere and the deal falls through with no book. The buyer get screwed with no book or refund.
