It could happen, within the context that it be a completely fictional crossover within the VALIANT Universe given that Batman was shown as being fictional in Harbinger (Faith got Batman toys for Chrismas).ian_house wrote:I think Batman Shadowman's a wicked call!Leatus IV wrote:Batman/Eternal Warrior or Shadowman.
Given that Jack's identity as Shadowman was public knowledge, teaming him up with Batman would be like Bubba Ho-tep, in which Bruce Campbell played Elvis Presley and fought a mummy.
That is to say, that Jack Boniface would become a figure that people could create fictional stories about, like teaming him up with Batman.
If published within that context (like Marvel Comics' "Marvels Comics", a series of comics published within the Marvel Universe), as a comic FROM the VALIANT Universe, it could work.

What about the T1000 and T-X? With the whole liquid metal thing going on, couldn't they just reform after getting smashed?ian_house wrote:So Magnus VS. Terminator. Valiant/Dark Horse really missed out on a trick there! I imagine it could have been quite dark. But wouldn't Magnus have just tore through a Terminator as he does every other robot?

That was part of the fleshed out story I submitted back then that Magnus would eventually defeat the T-100 and then they'd send the T-200 but something in North Am would cause it to gain freewill and break away from Skynet....I'lleither have to go to my mothers and see if I can't find the copy I kept of the letter(in case nothing ever happened which it didn't) or try to remember the whole story all over again.Honestly for a 15 year old kid at the time I was pretty impressed with myself for the story I came up with.Even now it seems like a cool idea.Maybe if VEI regains Magnus they can do it now with The Terminator series being relaunched as well.

I think I said Harbinger/X-Men but I think Pete could give Xavier a run for his money....And what of a Harada/Magneto alliance?? Harbingers in reality would be considered mutants in the MU so you could work up that angle as well. It's all well and good until the Zombies show up!!
On a side note He-Man/X-O!!

Can't happen. Batman was established as being fictional in the VALIANT Universe, and since Superman met He-Man, by consequence He-Man is also fictional.Leatus IV wrote:I think I said Harbinger/X-Men but I think Pete could give Xavier a run for his money....And what of a Harada/Magneto alliance?? Nah. Bloodshot would have just used the Goat for an oppourtunity to meet the Legion of Super Heroes.ManofTheAtom wrote:If the Goat caused Bloodshot to kill himself, I wonder what knowing that his universe came to be as a result of a crossver with Iron Man would have done to him.
Would he have gone on a killing spree and then shot himself?
He wants to apply for membership. Or kick Matter Eater Lad in the nards.

If Bloodshot knew what kind of people the goat hung around with, he would have probably killed everyone in the VH 2 Universe to take them with him.Chiclo wrote:Nah. Imagine what would have happened if he had met these bunch of crappy ideas

If seeing the Goat made him shoot himself, what would he have done if he had walked into the bar and seen Magnus *SQUEE*, Magnus Frog, Magnus Alien, and Magnus Nun?

You wound me sir!! Superman is the only character to have fought He-Man and Lion-O.....For being 1982 it wasn't that bad(nor was it that good)of a story concept....At that point in time MOTU had HUGE ##'s as far as toy sales and DC was attempting to launch it's MOTU book but it read like a KingJames bible and kids weren't having it.I love Valiant but He-Man is my heart lol.

I like He-Man, I like Thundercats, I like Superman... hell, when I was a kid I combined all my toys into a single group so that they could all interact... that doesn't mean I think it's a good idea to tell comic book stories in which they meet.Leatus IV wrote:You wound me sir!! Superman/Thundercats was just as ridicolous as the crossover with He-Man.
But like you said, it was done solely due to the character's popularity, not because it was a story that needed to be told.
