Ok....So as of late I'mloving that Valiant is on the upswing again and I have been replacing books I have gotten rid of but that is not the point.

Here's my question....I see all the characters that are here are original Valiant characters but why are Solar,Magnus ,and Turok ignored??Is it because of their Goldkey past?? Did the new Valiant not get the rights??Honestly you can't have this universe without them they are the corner stones of the company...Are they trying to regain these pivotal characters??

You pretty much covered why.

I would imagine that VEI (the new Valiant) is very interested in acquiring these properties but they can't really talk about it.

Well that's what I figured but if you look a lot of the characters all came from Magnus/Solar....Dr.Eclipse,Spider Aliens etc,etc...Here's hoping....I mean it's like missing a leg and you can't ignore the fact that they were there.

It's in the hands of very capable men who have the best interests not only of Valiant but also of the Valiant fans in mind.

And there you have it. Just don't call him Solar. Harada does not have a superhero name.

Harada is a businessman and philanthropist. He's a leader, not a hero.

Well that depends on who you ask. I am sure some of the Eggbreakers would call him hero.

I think they see him more as a visionary and follow him blindly. He realizes that the vast majority of the "children" are outcast and easily manipulated without even utilizing his powers.Harada probably has delusions of granduer and may even have a Christ complex....As far as a "not Solar" name Valiant could cross promote and just call him......Dr.Phil lol.

As one Solar fan to another, I salute you.

I would imagine that things are in the works to try to get the GK3 (Gold Key 3).

Hopefully we will see VEI PLAYING GOD with these characters at some point in the future.

Not only that, but there was some question about Chichak when the DVD came out.

Did he appear in the Gold Key comics, or was he an original VALIANT creation?

The copyright in the comics at the time clearly said that any new characters introduced in the series were the property of Voyager Communications (i.e. VALIANT)... so unless Acclaim screwed up and gave those characters away, Chichak may belong to VEI now if he was indeed an original character

Who's Chikchak?? Turok was not my favorite of the big three and at the risk of making people mad would be happy with just Magnus/Solar :bugeyed:

You know....I don't think a lot of people know about that DVD. I only noticed it by chance at Wal-Mart about a month back(now it's gone)with all those connections to the VH1 maybe those guys are closer to being back in the fold than we may think....

Unfortunately, none of us know if he was a GK or VALIANT character. I suspect he was GK all the way, though.
