Personally, I thought the entire series was mediocre. They should have made a mini series out of it or just let them make guest appearances instead of making it a regular monthly.Elveen wrote:ian_house wrote:I liked HARD Corps...
Yes. But the end (last maybe 10) was Terrible with an extra helping of C-rap on top.

I'm reading through HARDCorps right now, I am up to issue 10. I agree, the series isn't that great. It is the first title I have come to in my crurrent read through that I am not going to read straight through. I am gonna break it up, and read a couple issues here and there.Daniel Jackson wrote:Personally, I thought the entire series was mediocre. It COULD have been really good, imo. I see hints of promise here and there. It could have been a really good team book.

(I guess I could have talked about the integrity of fighting against the bad guys, being part of something bigger than yourself, and having your life mean something, which were all themes in Hard Corps..... but when Bib Boy got his head blasted apart...... that was cool.)

I liked the concept as well, but they way Valiant chose to go with it just did not make it very appealing. The writing made it really hard to care what happened with the characters and when critical events would occur it was like "eh, who cares..."Dr. Solar wrote:I'm reading through HARDCorps right now, I am up to issue 10. One of my problems with HC was the fact that EVERY issue, "Superstar" would restate, in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY, how the powers worked and what the HC was all about. The first 10 books were ok but it got sucky really quick. The last 6 are craptasticially craptastic and give the final XO & Magnus..what am I saying, they ARE as bad or worse.
