Your User Name....
Thought I would start a post on what made you pick the user name you have...
BodaZoffa: Got it from "Bodie Zeffa" from the movie "Point Break", & it has part of my last name in it.... Swoboda.
By the way, "Point Break" rocks!

Funny story (and ironic too).
I have two nicknames
1) Charlie- I've had that name since I was five (i'm 34 now).
2) Chuck- I've had that name since high school soph. year. I had a Korean friend on the wrestling team who couldn't pronounce Charlie (it sounded really funny when he called me by Charlie). So all the wrestlers made fun of him; however, he could pronounce CHUCK without a problem, so he started to call me CHUCK (and so did everyone one else).
Here is the funny and ironic part. My birth name is Chuong and I'm Vietnamese.
In 1975, after we had arrived in the US my parents decided to give me an English name CHARLIE (starts out like Chuong with a CH, it will be easier for people to pronounce my name, parental logic
).
HOWEVER, a Vietnamese kid named CHARLIE
Fourtunately, most kids back then didn't really understand what context VICTOR CHARLIE, CHARLIE OR CHUCK really ment to GIs during the Vietnam War. So I wasn't always the bad guy when we played war, as a kid
Anyways, I still go by CHARLIE or CHUCK, my board name, these days. Funny even my parents just call me by CHARLIE
Did I mention my last name is HA

I was thinking of posting this topic also, but you beat me to it...
Everyone always asks me what the heck "tssgery" is and how to *^#)$ do you pronounce it...
Honestly, I'm not sure about the latter question. tssgery is a username I was assigned to access my previous employers mainframe computer system. I'm sure that "tssg" stands for something, but the "ery" is my initials.
I always use tssgery for things, cause that username is NEVER taken... It make it easy to remember when I go from site to site, computer to computer...

Four Hundred Years was a hardcore band I used to listen to when I first got on ebay. I believe the reference goes back to Bob Marley somehow, which is cool by me because Bob rules! Since I subscribe to the KISS philosophy, I just decided not to change my ebay ID and to make my VC.com name the same.
I believe I may have had another user name a long time ago where I posted a handful of times, but I couldn't remember it when I re-discovered VC.com a few months back.

Mine comes from when I originally signed up for AOL in the early 1990s (I can't remember what year, but it was version 2.2 for the MAC ... still got the floppy).
So I went through all the registration stuff, then it asks you for an online name.
My name: Taken.
Variations of my name: Taken.
*SQUEE*: Taken.
Mandingo: Taken.
Then for some reason I remembered that headband Jim McMahon wore in the Super Bowl. There was all that build-up as sports geeks everywhere wondered what kind of anti-NFL, anti-Rozelle statement he would make. Then he put one on and all it said was "Pluto."
So I tried Pluto: Taken.
ThePluto: Taken.
Depluto worked. And now that's me.

I work for a game company called Decipher. Back in the late '90s they made a game called Star Wars CCG. Well they decided to name a character from the Star Wars universe after me. Elyhek Rue is an anagram of my name - Kyle Heuer.
For those geeky enough to want to know more, Elyhek Rue is the pilot of Red 7 who was involved in the assult on the first Death Star. Additionally, my father has an anagram of him in the Star Wars universe - Ahrrley Rue - who is the fater of Elyhek Rue and appeared in Episode 1. So, although this probably makes me either one of the biggest nerds to you, or you think it's cool that a character in the Star Wars universe is named after me, in reality my handle is just an anagram of my name...

Brother J = lead rapper of first the X-Clan, then later the Dark Sun Riders. Very underrated rapper who is rarely mentioned when talking about the best MC's of all time, but I believe he belongs near the top. I just happened to be listening to the Dark Sun Riders' CD a lot at the time when I first joined the boards, so I picked the name. It also helps that my first name also begins with a J.

Pretty Lame one here..
Im big into rooting for underdogs. I hated Nascar until my friends said you got to pick someone and then you'll like it. I said I aint gonna pick any bigtime driver, tell me someone who has never won a race and I'll root for him. At that time 1994, it was Michael Waltrip
Been a big fan of his ever since, hence gowaltrip

Since I have an obsession with bitter, cynical sarcasm, and since I also have an obsession with Harbinger, I decided to try and be cute and be bitterly cynical about the SO NOT HOT girl in Harbinger.
It kinda backfired, cause now everyone calls me 'Zeph'.
Moral: always think through your user names before picking them.
Course, I coulda gone with 'StingWasGay!!', but then....well, you know.
