Surprising given such a family friendly title...

With a title like that I don't care how much it's selling for. I'll stay away from that one.

I'd agree. I am not even tempted to find out what it is about and no matter what buzz generated by a controverisal name, it will surely overwhelm the quality of the book.

Yeah, can you imagine running into someone you know outside of the comic shop. Hey, what do you have there.....yikes so this is the kind of comics you buy now? Uh, I have to go now...

Or being seen reading it in a coffee shop or on public transport (the near-nudity of Mighty Avengers 2 was very embarassing whilst reading on the bus recently).

As far as I know, it's a Goon story. The Goon has a fair following, and being placed in the "adult" section of Previews means a lot of folks missed out on it. I know I did. I've got two copies coming though.

The Goon is a great read if you're into violence and one-liners. I think it's hysterical. The title of this one did scare me, but not enough to stay away. I just have to know what it's all about.
:D

I don't think that's the sort of thing my LCS would have.

Unless the rumours that circulated in Junior High of Ed's "secret stash" were true. Then again, those mostly involved Playboys, and now that I am old enough to buy them in a gas station like any other pervert, it loses its general appeal.

The ones at mine seem very well adjusted compared to the regulars that come by the gun counter.

Not really a Goon fan, but am always interested in controversial titles. This fascination brought me to Satan's ****** Baby.

It was very funny.... especially the reverse abortion attempt... I won't say more as this book is definetly not for homophobes or the faint of heart, but it is absolutely hilarious in sick opinion.

I got a couple of copies. It was ok. I didn't think it was that great. Kinda mediocre. The regular issues have been better IMO. I will mostly likly sell the extra. I dunno I was kinda lukewarm overall. I may end up getting rid of both eventually.

I bought it a couple days ago, and it was a fun comic, in that blasphemous, gross kinda way.

And honestly, I kinda like that way.

I'll stop by my LCS tomorrow and see if they have any left. They had like 10 of them when I was in there last Thursday.

I finally read this yesterday and all I can say is, ehhh....

It had some funny stuff in it, but overall all I can say is "big deal."

I'm a Goon fan, I love the regular stuff, this just carried it way too far for no apparent reason other than to carry it too far.

This is the only goon comic I have read and I thought it was hilarious.

I picked it up on the strength of the title's wrongness alone.

If you have a twisted sense of humour (see also Unfunnies by Mark Millar) it is a must.

Heh, I liked it too.

And I picked it up for the wrongness alone also.
