I hope they relaunch it and not that *SQUEE* Acclaim version.

I agree. That was crap. I mean the dude was a pansty. Nothing like Aric. But, how can you do X-O and not have Aric. He was the MAN (right after Gilad, that is...LOL). But, really would that not be awesome.

I loved this series right up to Birthquake. Actually, the "Funeral Pyre" story was the last good story, then Aric became a vagabond, and you had Gamie the thief, and I just stopped caring. And VH2 was even worse.

Just don't expect the Valiant version if you do. It's actually not the worst thing Acclaim ever came up with and it is readable, but I much prefer Aric wearing the Good Skin.

Dwayne McDuffie's X-O was really good. And we were *this* close || to having VH-2 Aric appear and battle Donovan for supremacy.

I caught up with X-O somewhat recently, getting the TPB and issues 5 thru 42, and it's been quite good.

So I guess the rest of it is just not worth reading at all from what people say here, I'll stop and continue when the relaunch comes next year :)

Oh, issue 64 is certainly worth reading. If only for a very dark moment. Those who read it know what I mean. It's truly awesome. Oh, and I'm in the minority but I think the final two issues were sort of cool. Really, it's just the stuff from 43-about 62 that is terrible. 63-68 were kind of cool in a "well, it isn't as bad as it used to be" kind of way.

The last 20 or so issues of XO start off bad and get better, you say. :hm:

I'm fairly certain they decided to just abduct brains, after a while. It would certainly explain the current global political situation.

Would LOVE to see Morrison do a cameo. There was an issue of Captain America a few years back that had Hawkeye taking Cap to a bar filled with people like James Dean and Groucho. Made a fun issue.

That sounds like a great one-off idea.
