Pretty good trip to Fort Hood, Texas

I dropped into the only LCS I could fine nearby tonight, my last night in Killean, TX (Fort Hood). I was a bit bummed when I learned that there where just a smattering of DUs left in his store and at that they were priced $.25 cents above cover.

Box on top of box, I searched in what appeared to be vain until I hit just a few that I needed:

WildCATs #1 DC Millinnium Edition $2.99
Masters of the Universe: Rise of the Snake Men $3.50
Masters of the Universe Icons of Evil Trapjaw $5.50 !!!
and
Mister Miracle No 1 3D (not sure on this ones value) $2.25

I am expecting the normal prices here just to be charged $.50 cents a book. I was going to go back and pick up what he had of Marvel Knights (which I am now collecting) and a few Punisher issues but he gave me an uneasy look so I just took his generousity and paid my $2+ bucks, happey with what I got.

He said for me to send him my needs list and he would look around for what I was needing for my DU collection. He gave me a 4' high Micky Spillaine Mike Danger standee from Tekno Comics but I have NO WAY of getting it home so I had to leave it.

For once an LCS guy squared me away and will make me want to come back one day.
