I like the idea of the Boys, but this arc has been weak (and the one before it wasn't stnning either).
I like the concept and the 'main plot' stuff, e.g. What the Boys are 'for' and seeing Hughie get less and less green and question what's going on around him.
I'm no prude, and I enjoy Garth Ennis on pyrotechnic F-bomb dropping form, but crudity in itself isn't funny (and nor is it story). He's implied that he has backstories and arcs for all the main characters, and I suspect this stuff will be gold... at least, I hope so.

Yeah DC or should i say Time Warner/AOl/Planet Earth decided the filth was too much to display under their banner and now they own 95% the planet they wont print it.
So Ennis and Robertson decided to go elsewhere and you can imagine how accommodating Dynamite were.
They must thought wow this really is our lucky day.
Im sure the filth that is the Boys might not be sellable to all ages but its a big enough book to put them on the map.
Good news for everyone even though im still unsure whether i really like it or if its just a bad excuse to write the nastiest slop that runs through his head.

I'm pretty sure they did, the first arc ended with the Hughie killing one of Teenage Kix and the fallout from that (the Homelander knowing Butcher was back in business), then it moved onto the Tek Knight arc, then the russian stuff.Kino wrote:I remember the its too dirty for DC but why they never finished the arc from issue 6 when Dynamite took over? The first 6 issues were well Preacher level and I sooooo hoping to see the finally of tht arc.
I get the feeling that the Seven are central figures to Ennis longer term plan, so I hope this next arc has a bit of meat to it.

I have to echo the sentiments of many who have posted. The story's central theme is great but the last arc was weak. I also felt that it lost something without Robinson doing the interiors. the artist who did them is way more talented than me, just not as good as Robinson. I liked the last isue however.
