I've seen many, many instances where books are bid up way above ebay store BINs. The heat of competition? :?

I was eyeing your EW 1 9.8 when it was 35. But I held off because I've seen EW 1 9.8 (and Rai 0 9.8) end in the mid $20s in no reserve auctions in the recent past. :P

They were both in my store at $25 (priced based on the $20's auctions you are referring to) until auction results higher than that occured. None of the underbidders would buy either book.

I certainly don't mind keeping them. If you (or anyone else) wants the pair for $65 postage paid (by check/mo) to the US, let me know.

Upping price....It was $24.99 what I wrote this...

:?
i would suggest doing the following:

when the auction ends, message the 2nd place bidder and say "hey, i have this EXACT same graded comic in my ebay store for $xx.xx. it's right around your high bid, so if you are still interested in one, you're all set"

it's a little bit more work for you, but i've made a lot of sales doing that.

good luck :thumb: (people are stupid)

good idea, but that is against ebays policy

Im not sure its against ebay policy is it?

Sending messages to ebay members to sell outside ebay is, but i think you are well within the rules letting them know you have something for sale they might be interested on and ebay make more money that way.

Of course i could be wrong and if so put up the link with that rule for us all to clarify it.

cheers

Ian

There's nothing wrong with steering someone to one of your eBay listings.

Thats exactly what i thought.

It just couldnt be in the interest of ebay to not let you make them more money right.

i see nothing wrong with it either. but i did do that once. the person replied to me saying that it was against the rules. i then got a message from ebay a few days later saying that if i did it again that my account would be suspended temporarily.

Then in that case, to clarify this for the sake of everyone who is currently unaware of such a rule, can anyone shed some light on the whereabouts of this rule anywhere in the ebay pages?

I believe it is only against the rules of you try to complete the sale outside eBay.

Did you attempt to sell outside ebay on this?

We are in agreement then that it is fine until someone shows otherwise.
