Virtual Comi-Con on the CGC Boards.
Hey everyone!
They are having a VCC on the CGC boards again, and I thought I'd mention it here. With the convention circuit slow right now, it might be a time to pick up some goodies.
Here's a link to the thread for it:

And, I've got a sales thread of items there at the moment. Take a look and if you want something, I'll save everyone here a bit on anything they buy!

Thanks guys, hope some of you find some good things!

That sounds right to me. I just wish I wasn't one of the ones watching their spending so carefully. I don't mean to be a vulture, but it could be a good time to pick up some otherwise "out of range" books.childres wrote:Nope, I think your right on the money about the condition of the economy. I don't know if it's the economy or the offerings were a bit thin. With every VCC, the offerings seem to get a bit weaker. My theory is that the best deals and some of the best material in the first VCC were collectors selling their extras and stuff they just didn't want anymore at collector-to-collector type pricing. Well, collectors only have a finite number of "extras."MedicAR wrote:Just glancing around the VCC, it didn't look loke there were a lot of sales made. My personal theory is that the economy has tanked and everyone is getting a lot more careful with their money.
Any other theories?
Now, it seems like many of the participants are dealers selling at market prices. I didn't see any real bargains... nothing that made me feel like I missed out on a great deal.

Well, that Harbinger #0 Pink at $5 sure was a smokin' deal, did anyone on the board here score that one? I sent the guy a PM and was told I was the tenth person who asked about the book. I was thinking "well, maybe if you would mark it sold, you wouldn't have all those PMs coming in."zipper68 wrote:Now, it seems like many of the participants are dealers selling at market prices. I only bought from our board member sckao, he had some great deals on magazines. Looking forward to getting them.

That Harbinger Pink VF/NM for $5 seemed like a good deal...

I didn't really list any Valiants there this time... but everyone's definition of a deal is definitely different.

No.. but I was probably one of the ten people who PM'd.Brother J wrote:sckao wrote: That Harbinger Pink VF/NM for $5 seemed like a good deal...![]()
