I got into Valiant at the peak of the heyday. My first book was XO #14, which was a Bart Sears one with Turok in the issue. It blew me away and being the OCD/easily fixated self that I am, I -had- to own every issue of Valiant.
I continued buying up until the point where Ron Marz had effectively destroyed XO beyond any recognition of its former self. I got so disgusted that I dropped out of the whole line. I still haven't bothered to collect some of those last few months of Valiants.
