Greetings. My beginnings with Valiant

Post by Slashes-With-Claws »

Well, back in 1991 I was still not even a teenager. I was not into comics much, but one caught my eye, X-O Manowar. I read it, and enjoyed it. I managed to get a few more through my mom, but not many.

A few years ago I remembered my old comic collection. I went through the small collection of X-O Manowar comics I had and reread them. I enjoyed them and made plans to go to the comic shop to find some more of the comics. In the process I discovered Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Magnus: Robot Fighter, and more. My collection quickly grew as I went to shops and shows looking for Valiant comics.

Today I have about thirty-five X-O, and a bunch of Turok, Magnus, Solar, Rai, and Armorines. I do not have any Acclaim’s Valiant Hero’s, those never interested me. I also bought a few of the old Turok: Son of Stone by Gold Key. My interest had started to wane as fewer and fewer dealers had Valiant, but with the buyouts of the brand and the coming re-release I am more interested than ever.

QFT.

Blow your cash on 'ebay NM', search for those hard to get books (I still have a few I want, let alone the really big ticket variants), and shudder occasionally.

Welcome anyway. :thumb:

Greetings all!

It appears from your avatars some of you are fans of the great sci-fi TV shows like Doctor Who (The original, not the new one) and Stargate SG-1 (Before O’Neil left).

Myron, Tom Baker is my favorite doctor, followed closely by Jon Pertwee.

Welcome.

and yes Tom Baker does rock {my favorite old doctor}.

However I do like both new doctors (probably the whole harry potter & heroes crossover thing) LOL.
