Which Robin *right now* would best replace Batman?
There's a rumor circulating that DC is going to kill Batman off and replace him with someone else like Marvel did with Captain America.
So, if DC did do that, which Robin (former or current) would best be suited to don the mantle of Batman and continue his crusade?
Personally, I wouldn't want ANY of them to become Batman. I definitely would NOT want Nightwing to become Batman (it would be way out of character for him to do so), Tim is not ready, Cassandra is a mess emotionally, and even if they bring Stephanie back, she's too inexperienced in every facet.
The best replacement right now for Batman would be Jason. He's ready and very capable. But I doubt DC would do it since they just coined him "Red Robin". Thoughts?

Grayson would be a horrible choice. He always said that he never wants to be Batman. That he wants to be his own man. Taking up the mantle of Batman would fly in the face of Grayson's continuity.superman-prime wrote:Todd and Dick are the only 2 capable of doing the job. I think Grayson would be a good choice but, i think they will go a different way.

I could see him doing it reluctantly out of some sense of responsibility or tradition or in Bruce's honor, but not because he wants to.Lightning Strike wrote:Grayson would be a horrible choice. Do you have a link to this rumor? I don't see a repeat of back being broken, and I think DD at DC has to much respect to do that to the character.Lightning Strike wrote:There's a rumor circulating that DC is going to kill Batman off and replace him with someone else like Marvel did with Captain America.

Back when I was reading Batman, Dick was the obvious successor. Would work for me unless things have changed since then.Lightning Strike wrote:So, if DC did do that, which Robin (former or current) would best be suited to don the mantle of Batman and continue his crusade?

The easiest answer would be what power doesn't he have?Elveen wrote:Chiclo wrote:No! He has flight, super speed, super strength, invulnerability (except when it comes to fire), telepathy, shape shifting, invisibility, intangibility and Martian vision.
