This isn't really a "hall of shame" auction, I just didn't know where to put my question.

Anybody know what the deal is with this auction?!? Why is it going so high? I don't even see gold here?!?
WTF is going on here? If this is a trend, I'm getting ready to sell, sell, sell!!

just another example of two bidders getting into a bidding war. You see this on eBay all the time. The desire to win overrules common sense. If just one of them had done a little research on what these books usually go for, this wouldn't happen.400yrs wrote:This isn't really a "hall of shame" auction, I just didn't know where to put my question.

Man, how embarrassing $51.00 for a run of Hard Corps? $61.00 for a run of A&A? And that doesn't include shipping. These guys must still be hung over from New Years Eve.Brother J wrote:just another example of two bidders getting into a bidding war. Personally, I think this buyer got a great deal on both these runs - if you take the seller at his word. If these are really all 9.6 (NM+) to 9.8 (NM/M), about cover price seems a decent deal to me.
Of course, it's very unlikely they are all NM+ or better. And in that case you could have bought them from Steve or me for pennies each.
Bidding war sounds right to me. Maybe these guys know the seller grades his books?

A&A has always been underated in price. Same with Shadowman. Maybe the pendalum is swinging back for this run.400yrs wrote:This isn't really a "hall of shame" auction, I just didn't know where to put my question.

Well, of course, requests are made AFTER the auction is over....as to what the buyer prefers in his (or, on the off chance, her) 'unused' panties.Unblessed wrote:WARNING: NOT COMICS

They do really naughty sexual type things with them, natch.
Mainly, though, you can only sell CLEAN clothes on eBay, and undergarments have to be 'new'.

There are some naughty, naughty folks out there who will pay good money for...well....interesting things to be done with other people's undergarments.

tbrezz: Can I ask why you were willing to pay $72 for that Shadowman lot? I mean, it's less than cover price, but still.

Once I hit $60 and he still had 2 bids higher than that I was just wondering how nuts he was but I backed off before I broke the next highest. He must have REALY wanted the sets he was bidding on they were all like that 4 of them also including Hard Corps and a Rai set he got for $51 each. That's sorta like when I bought that lot off of TLC with shipping it was between $40 to $50 and I did that for 4 comics I neededckb wrote:tbrezz: Can I ask why you were willing to pay $72 for that Shadowman lot?
